Bahamut Server: To the new NA players

The release of the NA version FFXI is exciting, and we, the older import players welcomes the new members. However, there are few things that I want to address here.

1) Begging - Everyone earn their own money, we all start off with nearly nothing. We work hard to gain the gils in game by camping NMs or by making equiptments and etc. Please beware that in Japanese society, begging is very much a rude behaviour. Ask your LS to give you some tips on how to make money rather than beg people for it. It's not RO, it's not UO, it's a Japanese MMORPG game. Respect their way of playing.

2) The use of Say/Shout - It is extremely rude to "say" and "shout" when having a private conversation. Please use /tell command. If you have to talk to more than 1 person, form a party or at least go to a less crowed place to talk. /Shout command is mostly for making a Mission party, BCNM party, Coffer party, and some other "HARD" to form partys.

3) Be polite - When someone tells you to use /tell instead of /say, or when someone is telling you that its not right to do this and that, please listen.

We are glad to have to more NA players joining us in bahamut server. Please follow the rules, and we can have a fun time both for yourself and the others. Thanks.

I don't see why you bothered to post this since you don't bother to play the game. You play like once every 3 months.

Also what I find highly amusing is you post a thread telling NA users to be polite and all when you were the one spamming Jeuno with your PT shouts. WHILE ANON

umm...
that was like long long time ago which i was still a noob lol.
well, i start playing again, i rest a bit because i wanted to wait for the NA version to come out. As for PT shout at Jeuno, that was at time where most of the Jap players are sleeping. I did include my level in my shout thouhgh lol

what i mean for say and shout is that a lot of the new players shout out for eg:

1) there's this one i heard from Bastok last night: /shout lvl 7 sword for sell infront of the home point, for 100 gils.

2) there's this one Moron heard in Sando i think : /shout can someone help me do mission 1 (he's was level 3)

3) /shout can i have some money i am new in this game.

anywaz, i think u know what i am talking about, it don't really matter if i play a lot of not, its for the good of other players too. I too made some mistakes. We all need to work on making the game environment more fun for the new and old players

*sigh* i hate when people make these kind of posts. Your telling me its rude to talk in /say to someone? Yeah, i understand that it could be if your in Valk or Quifm or some other area where a lot of PT's are b/c it floods the chat window. But its not rude if your talking to someone in /say in front of Sando or in town. People act like this game is real life and it annoys the hell out of me. This is some advise to the noobs, use common since. That basically sums it up. If what you are doing would probably be annoying to you if someone else was doing it, dont do it.
And whats so bad about asking someone for gil. I dont personnally do it but whats so hard about saying "nah man, i dont have any to spare"

Um, its no longer supposed to be considered "rude" to talk in /say in english...possibly /shout. The game is officially NA/JP now. Besides you hear jp /say conversations all the time. i don't get what the big deal is, thats what chat filters are for, but some /say conversations are soooo stupid lol, I wonder if all the JP /say conversation i hear in Jueno are as funny

well, its up to u guys if u want to follow them or not.
Just to let you know, if you get a world pass and come to a specific server, it porb means that the majority of the players are Japanese still, either u follow the way they play or be treated as a dumb noob. It is up to u guys, i don't care nor i will care anymore.
