Simple solution: Don't activate either quest until you've got all three items for one or the other. Once you've activated one of the two, you're stuck with that one, and it doesn't do you any good until you have the items anyway. So just hold off, and wherever you end up partying to 18, grab the items, and then go activate and complete the appropriate quest in one go.

This. You can't change after you pick one, and it's so hard to get the skull/robe to drop anyhow that you'll probably end up with someone farming it for you in Gusgen. (Make sure you get the Dem crystal!) And you'll need them again for the Aht Urhgan pass anyhow.


I flagged the Mhaura quest before I realized how dead Buburimu was back in those days long before FoV. It took a random passerby noticing my lack of sub to farm my stuff, including a tele-Dem and mugging Bogys in Gusgen for the robe.

EDIT: for what it's worth, the skull is slightly easier to farm from Gusgen, since the Bogys are deeper into the mines.

I also use the xbox while playing but instead of getting a key board i got the msn pad that attaches to the bottom of ur control pad, its like a mini keyboard and i havnt had any probs with it so far its quite handy. Best thing to do starting off is to ask around for help. u'll find that there are many people willing to guide new players and teach them the controls and how to act in a party. I almost didnt give it a chance until some one asked me if i was ok then took me under there wing. Good luck
