Im bored since ffxi is down for me so i was looking through google video and found this and wondering what spell is it? acording to the discription its a new spell.

The spell is in the coding of the game. It could be a spell that is going to be used by Blue Mages. Hard to say because some spells are in the coding but are only available to mobs and not to players.

Black spell too... MAYBE it's ona those new spells we gonna get with upcoming expansion that you need merits for, looks like its related to accuracy (notice all the "target" effects..), but then again im just assuming :p, magic accuracy+? now there's a buff we never really got.. D:

TGM: Doesnt seem like a BLU spell, i think i saw somewhere that BLU would have a different casting animation when casting "blue spells", you know, how white magic and black magic have their own animations, same as ninja and summoning magic.

new magic being added maybe? who knows, or it was like a proto-type for something then changed and they forgot to take it out of th coding..

Totally. He began with the black magic animation and casted with the white magic animation, and I have no freakin' clue what that spell was. O_o Hopefully we'll see it in the expansion. Hastega maybe? >.>

I'm still trying to figure out what that was.....

I wonder if all BLU healing/enhancing spells are going to start up with BLM animation, then end with whm animation, and if attacking is going to start with white animation and end with black?

Just a thought ._.

i remember erase started as BLM and ended as WHM for a while, then they fixed it, leaves alot to wonder, because while it couldve been a hack, it does look highly elaborated and very authentic..

I'm quoting very influential sources that are deep inside of stuff who have told me,

It's an Ice Cream Spell

Basically, when the mage needs a break and wants some Ice Cream, he/she starts by using Black Magic to control and twist all the elements and ingredients together, while finsihing up with some White Magic to make it sweet and edible.

Thankfully, it's Rare/EX Ice Cream, so melee's don't get nuffin! Take THAT, utsusemi!

Yeah, that's what I thought. But I remember an old vid of a guy showing off unreleased/unused/beastman spells via dat swap and one of them was Libra. Can't remember were I saw it though, but it'd be in the same place as (Ancient) II and Curaga V.

Hehe, somebody try "/ma Libra" and the like.

Yes the name of the spell is Libra. It's basically Scan.
