How could one that plays FFXI on the PS2 get videos from the television screen to the computer?

Is there any other way aside from an expensive Capture Card?

Better yet, how does one make music videos the old fashioned way, on VHS tapes, without any computer aid?

My TV has a built in VCR, so all I have to do is hit Record. Though I don't know how to transfer that to the CPU...

Well, I used to use this method before I bought FRAPS:
If you have a DV camcorder, simply set it up to input into that and then record.
You could then use the firewire of the camcorder to put this into the computer.
I did this by using the TVout on my Radeon. Thank God I found FRAPS
Unfortunately, this method, you must have both a camcorder and 1394 capability.

Well, I used to use a linear mixer to make music videos using two VHS's. But, in my opinion, NLE is beyond better, if you can, get it onto the computer, much easier to work with.

It could possibly work if you have a DVD Player/Recorder and your computer supports DVDs. Record the gameplay on the DVD, pop the DVD into your computer, convert the gameplay file into an .avi/.wmv/.mpg, and show it to the world. ^_^

EDIT: Nevermind. I just figured out that DVD-RWs and DVD+RWs exist.
