hah, thanks - fun to see, looks like a very nice tactic! I've been a thief uptil now - never done BCNM! I am leveling ranger atm (31) and I plan to do some BCNM once I get a bit higher.. I've got 230 seals.

when i did bcnm, the PLD flashed the big momma, and stoped 1/2 way, then brd slept them, and rng hit the big momma from behind and seperated it..

i find ur way MUCH EASIER and more affective.

btw what was the party make-up? what jobs for healing and dmg, and did u have Monster signa/marry's horn?

Yes, that's one of the best BCNM videos ever made, but I still trust the way I open the BCNM more than I will ever trust another person like a pick-up PLD. Just that old ego kicking in again y'know? ^^ Faranim's one of the most revered Bards around, so that's definitely good stuff.

It seems like 3 RNG 1 BRD and 2 WHM-or-RDM for his PT setup.

btw what was the party make-up? what jobs for healing and dmg, and did u have Monster signa/marry's horn?

If that was referenced to me, then that PT setup was PLD WHM RDM DRK RNG BRD. Nowadays, I believe more in DRK RNG RNG WHM RDM BRD, or sub one of the RNGs for another damage dealer (I usually try to do it with my PT pal THF). I don't get why some people insist on a PLD tank, since only the black Mandy hits hard enough to warrant having a tank around. I did it before with a 5-Taru PT, with an Elvaan DRK, without having a PLD or NIN to tank, so please, DRKs you are good enough a tank for BCNM40 Giddeus. Don't be such a wimp when a Taru BRD is tanking those 7 crazy white ones.

I didn't have Monster Signa nor Mary's Horn, but I'm looking forward to a good Mary's Horn purchase soon. As for Signa, I'll probably wait post-60 before I even think of it. 500k isn't easy even with BCNM cash, and I don't even need that much CHR, and I certainly don't want the -5VIT for a BCNM either.

yeah, i know signa is a real pain for the super-chr it gives

on my server (carbuncle) it usually goes for 300-350k, and mary's horn is about 100k.

great to know that a taru bard with no signa or horn can do bcnm, thats awesome.

as for the -5vit, i totally agree, specially when the bard is the main tank during that battle.

btw, do u have Corsette+1, and did u go for chr+ rings or mp+ rings for the fight? (forgive all my questions, just need an expert to guide me ^^)

Edit: Btw, i just checked ur journal, hahah ur the exact tarutaru model as me, hehe just wanted to put that in :p)
