Request: Can i see a ninja/thief and his/her abilities

Nobody ever subs thief with ninja, and ninja has no job abilites at all, so I'm not very sure what kind of videos you want to see.

NIN/THF is the number 1 choice for melee NINs. But they really dont have abilities.

apparently, u guys haven't seen much of FFXI yet.
Thf/Nin is so damn common. yes. they dont have much Job Ablities. i am Thf/Nin and we sub nin for the Dual Wield ability, Utsusemi, and other Ninjutsus.

abt the Nin/Thf, its crap and u wont be very useful to pt.
Ninjas are tanks. they take nearly no or super dmg. but they cant hold hate as well and all they do is spam Ninjutsu and WS. so. the ideal and recommended Nin SJ is War. for the Voke ability.

Once they get their 3rd dual wield they become very fast hitters which makes up for the lower damage of each individual blow, and their ninjutsu can weaken elemental resistance and enfeeble the enemy. Which is why they have no job abilities besides their 2-hour skill - they have "spells" in the form of ninjutsu. So a video of NIN's abilities would be a video of someone hitting very quickly, and casting ninjutsu.


On the somewhat off-topic subject of support job choice...

A WAR sub would be my ideal choice simply for double attack and the WAR's good physical stat boosts, along with berserk/defender
and eventually warcry. NIN are quite versatile, but usually everyone just wants them to do the following, over and over:

Utsusemi. Provoke. Utsusemi. Utsusemi. Utsusemi. Provoke.

This is an effective tactic, if a tiresomely repetitive one. It is also very expensive for the NIN as they can't hold hate without constantly using ninjutsu on the enemy, especially before they have double attack and the dual wield speed boosts.

The only reason I'd sub THF with NIN is for either farming, or if I didn't want people to immediately assume that I'll be tanking for them (to Joe Average, WAR = Provoke, and nothing more - how many people invite a WAR when they have a tank already?) Post-60 trick attack might be useful I guess.

To be honest, WAR would be my support job of choice over THF for most, if not all melee classes. Sure SA and TA are nice, but I prefer the boosted damage and increased number of hits from WAR over the ability to do more damage (from behind/behind a party member) every minute or so.

The only way for Nin/Thf to work is if you had a Kraken Club.

I got a question, I'm about to make a THF/NIN..
I've always wondered about this, Can you get your Sub's AF armor? ie. Be a THF/NIN but wear the Ninja AF?

no it works like everything else, you cant wer equipment your main cant wear... Plus you wouldnt be able to wear it anyway since NIN is half level.
