  • Very new screenshots...

I recently used regedit to tweak the resolution of FFXI to 2400x2400. Anyways, figured I'd post some new screenshots since that edit. (Yes, some I did screw up when I pasted into Paint.)

    Nice! Although mighty dark.

Thanks, and yeah-I like it being a bit darker myself however.

        I don't really see a difference. O_o

I'm using 10x7 resolution to match my desktop.

I've upped my background res to 2048x2048 and it was pretty (although not by that much), but everything was a slideshow.

My default is 1280x1024 for both actual and background resolution. It's pretty nice, and while my screenshots aren't perhaps all perfect, they work out pretty good.

I mostly crop and cut them for my LJ (link in sig). Although I keep all of the originals too.

I'm not saying there is any difference.

Edit: Hmm... I just went into Regedit to make sure what the resolution I'm using... seems to of defaulted back to the 1024x768 resolution. >< I'm gonna try this again...

I don't see a difference between these or anyone else's screenshots, they're always dark and often too dark to see anything.

At least they always are here.

I was just being friendly. When people post stuff, I try and post a positive comment. They don't really look that fantastic.

Compared to your average screenshot I mean.

I don't know about that beacuse I'd have to save it, open it in Photoshop and play with the Gamma/Colour Balance settings to see anything. I don't see too many peoples screenshots because I'm not going to go through that.

Mine are generally not so bad. I use Clipper to capture them, and then I open them in photoshop and crop/resize. Since I run at a somewhat high res, shrinking things down tends to clear up some jaggy issues.

Thankfully my screenshots aren't really that dark. It's why I hate the default screenshot system though. It's absolutely dreadful.

You can see some examples in the link in my sig, but I don't expect anyone to actually bother. It's mostly just for me to write and post pics.

Well, aside from one-none of them look THAT dark from my side, so that wasn't what I was talking about. :D

I was just referring to screenshots in general. Often they are pretty dark.

I typically keep my res at 1280x1024. Bigger than that isn't worth the speed lost.

If your screenshots are that painful, put a light blur on it in PS =/
