  • Unbeleivable pics of PC version running on a TV

With a few registry tweaks and bam here you go. Clean and clear as it gets. I mind you it looks even better running at 1600x1200 on my LCD. But running it on my 36in. TV with component cables is just amazing!

Forget the xbox 360 version... I have it beat down unless they actually do an upgrade.

Its not the best scenery in the game, but where I happen to be at the moment.

Yo, it's me, Curksal ^^ Wow, those really are awesome, what kind of graphic card do you have, and how do you hook it up to a TV?? Also, why are they that size and not like 1027 x 768, jw, cause I'm thinking about getting the PC version now...

Curk! How is it going? I didn't realize you posted on here. I run it at 640x480 on my 36 Sony WEGA...*insert laugh here*

It isnt at a high resolution, but on a large TV it looks very good. This is by running component cable straight to my tv and an optical cable to my stereo.

I have done a few registry changes, and my GFX card settings are maxed out as well.

Sure it looks big on these pics, but when looking at it on a TV it looks insanely good.

I need to post some 1600x1200 pics going to my LCD monitor
*soon to be 1920x1200 when I get my 24.3 in. LCD :D*

You didn't use AA? I force my usually at 2xAA, or even 4xAAQ.

Yes I used AA... I maxed every single option on my gfx card out. It is not jaggy whatsovever on screen, even tho these pics might look like it slightly. Its 640x480. What can you say, its amazing for that resolution. Run that resolution on your PC and be prepared to be horrifid.

Resulution isn't great and it looks just as good if not better on my monitor.

If you want to see something really good check it out on the PSP. My cam's a bit crap but who cares.

I think some of you are missing the point tho. This is how good it can look on a TV, not on a computer monitor. Of course its going to look better on a monitor at a higher resolution. I was just saying thats how good it can look on a TV that's not HD with component cables.

Btw...how in the world did you get it to display on your PSP? Does the PSP controls work as well? Please let me know the secret as I would love to try that.

An LCD display would give you as good a picture as a monitor.

The PSP was just a screen shot I'm afraid, but it looks cool.

Looks nice! What I'm really interested in is seeing pictures of the set up, the computer, cables, etc. So let's see some pics of that!

Sorry I couldn't resist 1600x1200 pics with 2048x2048 on background textures and all gfx settings to the max in ATI Catalyst Control Center. All are done on my 21.3 in LCD monitor. You can compare the difference between this and the TV pics at 640x480.

This is a pic of my registry settings if anyone would like to see where it is set at.

Again, not the prettiest place in the game by any means but the pics are fantastic. I went kind of overboard

Wow, that's nice. I hate to think what the framerate must've been though.
