Nice, JP LS on Midgard also took it down to ~10% and got Flailed... not being able to consistantly sleep this thing is a huge pain and they couldn't recover.

Yes we lost. Ara you guys kite? I've seen many pics of jp's kiting him but whats worked for us the best so far has been fafnir style. ;3 Anyways, I'm not sure how many we had think some where around 50, and this is group effort between my ls and another ls.

i alway thought what shold be done is 4 HNM LSs get together and ally and have 4 alliances go at it and circulate turns killing it. 1 alliance is purely for pops and the others take on Vrtra. Once one alliance begins to die they disenguage and another takes over while the 1st one heals up and raises their dead. and when the 2nd one starts to die the 3rd come in and take over once they begin to die the 1st one comes back and takes over and just circulate like that.

You only need 2 Alliances for him. Just have to know what can sleep him and what can't sleep him as well. Also the Add PT is kinda different than what you would think, usually people think MNKS but not in this case.

I would have a Vrtra alliance on my server but other NA LSes are against allowing people to join cuz they think one day they will kill him.

Saw a group of JPs on Hades kill it, straight tanked it and had SMNs doing the majority of damage with a party or two of BLMs killing the smns Dynamis style and MNKs and stuff killing the spawns. Anyways Serif I wish I could go =/ I spend all that time getting Elemental Merits maxed and I wanna see it get put to good use >_<. Oh well maybe some other time.

No, we didn't kite.

If I may ask, how long was that fight for where you took it so low? Our fight to 45%~ was about 2 hours but we only had 2 SMN's, which hurt.

Also curious how nuts she goes at that low life? I can't imagine getting hit with 2 wings in less than a minute @_@

I wasn't there during our most recent fight, which is the one fira posted a pic of, but I was at the pervious one where we also got him pretty low (10-15%). I believe it took roughly 2 hours to that point. We had 3-4 smn doing consistent damage and also several drk & sam doing TA ws on him that added a good bit of damage.

When she goes into spam mode...think Fafnir wing spam, except each one does 600-ish damage and puts everyone to sleep Hate control really becomes an issue too, vrtra's hate list is just...weird...if not for hate probelms we might have actually made it.
