He never flailed for us at any of our fights. Play it smart. There are very simple ways to avoid it.

He won't flail just from people standing away from him and shooting/casting spells, only a 180-degree aggro shift can cause flail in my experience. As long as the mages are in front of the tanks, it should never happen. This is how we fought Jorm, usually only the tanks were at his feet. Everyone else was standing away from him.

As Fira said though, some of Tiamat's AoE attacks seem to have a larger range than Jormungand's. I know a couple of them will hit you even if you're so far away that you can barely see battle text, and I'm certain it's well out of spell range. I know SOME of his attacks can be avoided, but not all (It's been a while since we fought him so I don't remember the names of his attacks, sorry).

They wouldn't charm the bombs, they would send other pets or summons at the bombs to make them self-destruct, avoiding anyone in any of the alliances being near them or having to fight them.

We killed Tiamat tonight, figured I'd just post it here instead of making a new thread After killing both Taimat and Jormungand on back-to-back weekends, I can say for sure that Tiamat is a LOT easier. Not just adds, dragon himself seemed to be easier as well. Our main alliance didn't have much trouble at all, barely even had any deaths. We're planning to try Vrtra next weekend, we'll see how that one goes

I think that Jormungand was a lot tougher too.. it seems both the adds and dragon alliances found themselves in trouble far more often.

Only time the adds alliances took more than 1 or 2 deaths at a time vs. Tiamat was when a bomb blew up, but it was absolutely no prob to recover from that.

I don't think the dragon alliance asked for assitance from adds more than twice and that was just to ease MP burden.

Plus the fact we killed Tiamat in what seemed like half the time. ^_^

Tiamat was easier imo but it could be just because we've allmost killed him before.
