Utsusemi is level 12, so he didn't have that. Even if he did, his ninjitsu skill would be so pathetic that Searling Light would completely ignore it and one-shot you anyway.

Carbuncle Mitts are -4 MP perpetuation cost, at 51 you can get a Light Staff and thats another -2 so you can keep carbuncle out for free.

I'm really proud I was able to earn up the gil again after having my first Verm Cloak stolen by a renegade Chiefers who sold his account without telling anyone. He's back to his old self however, and wanted to help me get the stuff back, but never actually got there since his usual light elemental farming got nerfed. I've not leveled my blm for months since it got boring to me and because my dream job had always been summoner, and if you haven't noticed the topic, it's about "L337 SMN Gear" which is undoubtibly what I finally have and can't wait to use.
