Vrtra shot's (Do you need it?)

Well, I decided that I wanted to see what everyone is calling 'The thoughest NM in the game'. So, I got on my drg and set off, didn't take that long to get there, but what a rush just seeing him. He for sure has true sight b/c he aggro'd me with sneak and invis on. I actually intimidated him...... not that it stopped him from one-shotting me All in all it was a huge rush and I really want to kill him now.

heh nice ^^ he has died tho, its a very tricky thing to pull of, but possible. only droped Black Beetle Blood too >.> and scales. Complete waste of time!

Where do people find out this stuff about Vtra or Tiamat being killed? I've only really hear about it here, in just random topics...

I just had my experience with Vrtra just earlier. I did 135 dmg to him before I died at lv 56 :spin:

Vrta has been killed on Caitsith, its hard to do

Get a Pld, Prefferably Pld/Thf, have him have sneek on him, and have a WHM tag along. Have him use Blink (he must have " Powder Boots " and " Blink Band" ), then do Ranged Attack as far as possible from VRTA, then use Invincible, and the Powder Boots for Flee, have the WHM IMMEDIATLEY cast Sneak on him ( like 1/2 way through the shot) and if you time it right, invincible takes hate from Sneak ( if shot didnt land) and he wont take damage. Flee up too the area as far as you can get, and fight VRTA there. Or an easy way, have 2 LS form, take 1/2 from each LS focus on Vrta (forming full alliance) and have the other 1/2 from each LS focus on clearing the areas, taking links. Vrta takes alot of coopoeration, and is a pain in the ass, and as far as i know, she drops Blood and Scales

:sweat: I'm using the second one as my desktop. I went for that reason only, I couldn't find a good shot of him anywhere. If I go back what kind of 'Pose' do you want? XD

I still can't believe this beast has been beaten though. Doesn't seem possible with all the mobs in there, but that strategy Plaguekitty gave sounds like it could really work.

Vrtra also drops Cashmere cloth used in the BRD body JSE and a 100 charge Provoke helm.. yes thats right, a provoke helm. PLD/NIN or PLD/WHM anybody?
