Maybe if you actually read what I said before opening your mouth you would notice that we didn't ask anyone for help. It was them who asked us for help. We weren't even hunting it. In fact I was doing San d'Oria 9-1 when I get a tell asking for me to tank KB for them.

Good job Raph on being to ignorant to read what you're talking about before making a snotty comment . At least we have the respect of the Japanese and can hunt without them MPK us and steal from us. We respect them and they in turn do the same for us. It's how things work =)

And thanks to those who have the deceny to post something positive. Many props to the few people out there with some maturity.

balthorus isnt in my LS. also I think he was mostly watching. SAM is not exactly a strong force against KB. you don't really do any meleeing at all except for arrows and bullets. sam/rng named Siberia however was kicking some ass.

Levi is one of the original servers (made long before NA release. Midgardsormr was made right before the NA release that is why their NA population is so large) and therefore is over 75% Japanese dominated. Almost all of the Japanese on my server know me because myself and my LS were the first to stand up to them and hold our own and show them that they aren't any better than NAs.

For the record, Midgardsormr was created in June of 2003, it was not "right before NA release." That is Fairy Server (October of 2003).

You must be very proud of this. It's something to behold, and I congratulate you on such an achievement. However, ANY linkshell on any server can and has done the same. Frankly, I could bore you with details of Midgardsormr's personal history of the same feat, but I won't. Being the first to do anything means very little when it affects so very few. I remember back when people on Ragnarok claimed to be the first people to kill King Behemoth, but you know, no one is saying, oh my gosh, that's the person who first killed King Behemoth. What does it matter if you are the first?Omgwtfbbq, I was the first NA SMN to get a Dalmatica on Midgardsormr... and Ethreal was the first NA PLD to get the Defending Ring and Koenig Cuirass on our server. Mmm, those JP sure know we are on the same level as them. I'm sure our linkshell is the also the first on our server to have roughly 10-12 Dalmaticas made. Our top competition has maybe 5 total. So what? Does that make them any better or worse? Does that make us any better or worse? What difference does it make, being first? They know who you are. Mm... so when they /sea all Lionhart, and see that you are in Dragon's Aery, they are sure to not try hunting Fafnir since you are there.

Wait, they still come? Oh... that's because it doesn't make a difference if they know who you are.

And to be more critical, why would anyone not on Leviathan server care that you "showed the JPs that NA are just as good"? Good for you. The NA population on Leviathan should be thankful Japanese players are going to acknowledge them because of your great inspiration. And? And that's it. Good god, stop bringing it up everytime you feel obligated to defend yourself.

Sorry if I come off as a little cynical, but seriously, you've done a lot, we've done a lot, others have done a lot. We all like to be appreciated for what we have done, congratulated and whatever. It makes doing what you did all the more worthwhile. WHY are you so damn competitive about it? Because some racist JPs want to steal our KB it's our fault? lol QS(which is the only JP LS we've had problems with back on Fenrir) was a known MPK LS and stole shit from everyone. The fact that AS challenged them on HNMs pissed them off to the point where they would steal our shit. The JPs on Hades have been great. We've had no problems, their leaders can speak english, they don't treat us like shit, the respect us as equals and even allied with us on Vytra.

I'm laughing because your LS(GOL) only had 8 people meaning you had to kill it with people outside your LS. Then your ego made you come post 5billion pics of your "great accomplishment" on this forum and KI, obviously with the only intention of bragging is just hilarious. If us at AS decided to post a huge thread everytime we killed an HNM you'd have people laughing at us too, but we don't.

i just want to point out that none of the JP HNM LS on any server are trying to "earn the respect" of the NA HNM LS, even though it seems like a lot of NA HNM LS feel they need to prove themselves to the JP. it just so happened that the JP were in the game first. they're no better than us, and worse in some cases. i hope people can eventually do things 100% for their own satisfaction and completely disregard the fact that some people are english and some japanese.

note- this comes from someone who has been in multiple JP and EN HNM LS over the passed 2 years, and has seen first-hand how it works both inside and outside of both.

You obviously missed some key phrases in my first paragraph, let me point it out:

Why do you assume I am trying to belittle you? -_- This goes back to the question, why are you so defensive?

My mention of Midgard's birthdate was a sidenote. It neither strengthens or weakens my original argument. Therefore... it should be regarded as a sidenote, and not an arguing point. Yes, the majority of beta went to Midgardsormr. What's your point? Midgard was made 3 months before NA release. Fact. Fairy was made 3 weeks before NA release. Fact. They both carry roughly the same amount of NA players. Fact. So? Nothing. It's just a sidenote.

This part, I will agree with. What I said before about any LS gaining respect is not always true. But like Abknight said, does it make sense that we go out of our way to earn their respect, but not vice versa? Midgard doesn't necessarily respect any of our JP linkshells, but that doesn't mean we don't have an understanding. We've had our rough times, and ugly moments, but in the end, we all understand each other. That's enough... for us anyways.

You didn't quote the single sentence I made its own paragraph for emphasis. I'll do it for you:

Point of quoted paragraph (I'll cut to the chase): Why does it make a difference if they know who you are? I'm seriously curious about the reason behind mentioning that.

Also, I send cynical replys because, in my opinion, sometimes posts merit a cynical reply. It's not like I am going out of my way to be cynical JUST TO YOU. Your photos are nice, and I know that people browse them because they like to see them. I'm not trying to devalue your achievement. It has more to do with personality. Consider the way you replied to my original post, and see if you would find it, from my perspective, rather defensive and provoking. From my point of view, I am agreeing that it's easy to get good equips when HNMs stand around. I didn't say they do on your server, I didn't say they do on mine. I'm just saying in general. Would you not feel that this was uncalled for? For me, I just become cynical, but usually apathetic to reply. Sometimes, I do, sometimes I don't.

You just get defensive really easily, it seems. And, I will admit, it's annoying at times, but that's why you tell people or they just go on doing it. If you don't care that I find it somewhat annoying, then continue on, and I'll have to learn to be more apathetic.

I think this is the second time I've had to tell you this maybe you're just not reading it or maybe you're just ignorant but in any case: THEY (the _other_ LS) ASKED US FOR HELP! WE ASKED NO ONE FOR HELP. We didn't bring our entire LS. We brought people who we thought were needed. And this wasn't even GOL it was a different and much smaller LS.

Because of the large amount of LS they pretty much have to come down with some rules about HNM, MPK, Respecting other LS, etc that everyone follows. Being known on the server by the JP makes them aware of your presence as an LS. I guess maybe we've just been blessed by a few JP LS that are friendly towards NA and keep the xenophobes in check.
