bad screenshots, why??

why is it that all of my screenshots end up like this one?
they all get split in a flattened random checkerboard pattern...
does anyone have any idea how i can fix this?

wow, it won't let me attach them...

well... there are black horizontal lines going across a portion of the screenshot. these black lines are at random vertical intervals, and they seem to push whatever would have been there to another portion of the screenshot.

here, i ctrl + print screened it, pasted that into ms paint, cut out the extra stuff captured by the ctrl + print screen, then saved that as a JPEG, and was able to host it then


this is just in windurst, no place special, but notice that the elvaan is mostly in the 4rd column and with a bit in the 5th, and that cardian is mostly in the 5th column with a bit in the 1st.

oh, and screenshots i take using FFXI's screenshot taking thing are the same, only with wider black lines and 3 columns instead of 5
