NPC fire elemental?

Okay.. what's *this*?

Saw in Ro'Meave as I was running to hall of gods. It appeared to have no life, was stationary except for the usual fire elemental animation, and had a green name of 'Garuda'.

hmm... have you ever done the Moogle hacking trick? if so.. thats probably why.. i guess theres a way that doing that can mess with other info writtin in the game

Actually,near the beginign or retail,i saw a fire elemental named "Carbuncle" near the exit to konschtat in valkurm..Not sure wtf it does though:confused:

A couple of other things. Three other ppl in my ls confirmed seeing it too at separate times in different parties. I didn't try talking because as someone rightly noticed that Cannonball was trying to pummel me. ;x

I haven't fiddled at all with moogle stuff.

I can solve this mystery!

I'm a SMN and when I'm raising SMN Magic Skill casting the Avatars over and over again when their HP bars come up for example I'm Summoning Garuda, the HP bar may say "Leviathan" then in a few seconds it will go to Garuda.

So sometimes the an Elemental or Avatar's HP bar will say something different. My guess is that the game scrolls through the names to get to the right one or something and their is a little lag. Either way it's pretty normal.

If you trade this NPC 300 stacks of San d'Orian grapes it will give you a full set of uncursed equipment and it will revive Aeris.
