Unorthodox exp chain 9's!

Today i went to xp up in the srine with some LS members.
PT config: Rng/Nin Rng/Nin War/Nin Blm/Whm Blm/Whm Brd/Whm

well we cleared the golem spawns for chain #9 each time here is a lil screenie.

hehe thx we did it 3 times in a row, then we had to go camp. each chain nets 2k xp its really fun and up beat.

wow Very nice, First time ive seen Chain 9... i thought it only went up to 8. Is 9 the highest ?

to my knowledge there is no limit to the amount of exp chains you can get. I've heard of people getting expchain 15+.

I wasn't paying attention to the exp very much in this one PT I had awhile back, but we may have gotten that high. We didn't have any downtime at all the entire PT. We were in Yuhtunga Jungle, at the entrance of the tunnel leading to Sea Serpent Grotto. We had RNG/NIN, RNG/NIN, WAR/NIN, THF/NIN (me), BRD/WHM, and SMN/WHM. We were pulling in Makaras and Sahagins like no one's business.

i think we could have done maybe chain #10 but only 9 mobs appear at this XP camp and at lvl 75 its the only camp with IT mobs to kill.

yeah aura statues camp kicks ass. especially when you get to snag Ullikumi. What was your party setup if I may ask?

As far as I've read from other lv. 75's they state you can go as high as you like on the chains. The thing is after chain #10 the EXP bonus is the same, so a chain #11 will have the same EXP bonus as #10, #12 same as 10, 13 same, 14 same, etc...

I saw a photo of person getting Chain #26 before.

Don't know, the threads posted on here from lv. 75 import players were stating that #10 is were it stays the same.

The threads were like a couple months before the NA release of the game.

im pretty sure 5+ is same bonus, and anyone getting chain 26 i would put money on it being an alliance, i dont know any xp place where u could chain 26 VT or IT mobs.

I'm not really supprised at the chain 9 as much as i am that you actually got decent EXP for it. Usually chains past 5 result in around 150 exp or even less, so it's not usually worth it. Congrats though that's pretty impressive.
