The part where he mistakes the Spin Slash for a ws like Spinning scythe.
If you didnt know, Spin slash is a 225 skill that makes lv3 light, and is one of (if not the) best DRK ws.
Spinning scythe is that piece of shit level 150 (?) ws that does aoe...
EDIT: I called him that because I did a mistell to my friend and said somthing like "yeah that drk is gimp" in /say and wasnt even talking to him, yet he responded, and then said "I know" in /say.
Great sword is utter crap till about well, spinslash. Anyone who uses it in PTs claiming "i need to skill it for spinslash" can do that on their own accord in a skill up PT. There is a reason it has been dubd the "NA Sword".
Me? myself? i don't really use the term "NA" to describe north american players, just lame players as a whole, JP, NA, Zimbobwe, whatever the case. But hey this sword wasn't in constant use by low levels till the NA release so i see it fitting.

Actually, no. Normally I wouldn't disagree with someone who generally offers such insightful words, so forgive me.
Powerslash is your best bet from lv.33 to lv.49 for offering anything to a party. The ability to perform distortion in a well balanced (3 mage/3 melee party) exceeds pretty much anything else. Your average party at this level will be PLD, DRK, THF, etc., and the PLD can't do a penetrating WS unless they're using greatsword or polearm, which simply isn't an option. Unfortunately, it used to be the case that the number of greatsword choices during those levels was minimal, which meant that at lv.48 you'd still be stuck with a lv.39 Ice Brand, which is about 1/2 the DMG of a good scythe. In the last major update 4 new greatswords were added to fill this gap, . The faussar actually has similar damage to the Raven Scythe, and a shorter delay.
Post lv.49 (Vorpal Scythe), Hard slash still does more damage than Slice; Crescent Moon does more than both if you're at 250%+. Power Slash still does about the same as Vorpal Scythe with much fewer devastating weapon skill misses. Other than that, no other weapon skills are used.
I'm not sure if you ever partied with a DRK who had Greatsword capped before lv.66, but I can tell you for certain, pre-Vassago's damage differential between the two is minimal. This is most likely because of the Accuracy-5 on the Barbarian's causing the additional Greatsword hits to catch up. Anyone using Greatsword (or any other weapon) in an exp party without it being at least within 7 of the cap (just slightly under the cap for the last level) should probably be shot.
I should've said this earlier... but I didn't mean NA DRK as a "holy crap people from america suck"... because... I am. And I have only played since NA release. I use "NA" as "bad player", it's just a habit. Sorry
