I'm new to the game, and thus don't know much about mog houses so please forgive me. ^-^ Can you invite someone into your mog house? And do you have to buy one? If so, what does it cost?

No you cannot invite anyone
This is basicly the only way other people may wiev it.

For your second question. No it doesnt cost any gil, you will be given a mog house at your starting town when you start playing.
After that you cna get rent a rooms for free of charge in the other cities.

Perhaps the rumored "Marriage System" will allow the couples to stay in Mog Houses, whenever that comes out (Of course, I won't have a in-game wife, sad...).

My Mog House is SO bare the Moogle dosen't want to live there and would rather be in a Rent-a-Room. Hell, furniture is very expensive and I am a poor Taru, haha.
