Aww, hope you find something to get you interested in the game again, Fal; I'd miss ya. I was hoping that when I got a bit higher in levels I could be in one of your LSs stuff; it'd be so cool to hunt HNMs with you and stuff after all of this time looking at your screens of it. Or at least it'd make it easier to chat, so we don't hafta just send tells to each other occasionally. Lorelaiy was telling me last night that he'd get pearl to the one he's in that you're in too sometime, but I dunno; do they accept people that low in levels? He tells me he's been in it since he was level 50, so I guess... but I digress.

Just rememer, this game is just a way of doing fun stuff with online friends. Sometimes we all forget that, I think. Sometimes it starts to seem almost like a job to some, and I think when that happens, we need to do something to rediscover the fun part of the game. Maybe go commit suicide in one of the starting towns and then have some friends going around shouting that monsters have made it into the city and scare all the noobs. Maybe find an LS that does some fun events (Force Council, for instance, does Garrisons and Ecos, and the leaders have informed us that several new events are in planning). Then again, a little break may be all you need. I know when I've taken breaks from the game, I've come back wanting to play more than ever. Just know that should you ever decide to quit, you will be dearly missed, Fal.

Anyway, I'm probably going to at least try WoW since my friend gets a 10 day pass for me with the collector's edition. I don't know about end game, but it seems to be a bit more casual player friendly which is good for me. I don't think it has the great story like FFXI has (at least that I've seen). Let me know if you get into WoW, maybe I'll see you there

btw, Half Life 2 is great. I'm just starting it now, but really enjoying it. I'm currently on the air boat level.

To Kyrial: Hey sweetie, thanks for the supportive words. I'm not saying goodbye (not yet anyway), so don't stress. I'll be alive and kicking it until I close this thread for good. I'd love for you to be in one of my linkshells (despite there's only 2). It would be a lot of fun being able to talk on a not-so-rare basis. Yeah I know Lorelaiy just a smidgen. Hmm...I'm assuming he/she means DrgnAsh. I don't think he knows anyone in my JP HNM LS who are all level 75 in several jobs. To tell you the truth, I just recently obtained a pearl in DrgnAsh. Around the time I needed to do the Promathia Missions, DrgnAsh was the only shell that was doing them as a collective group. A close friend of mine, Prev, told me that they were doing it and I was welcome to join them on the Promathia runs. The problem was that everytime they went, I didn't know about it and I was left out. So I talked to the shell's owner, Slacker, who gave me a pearl. Slacker is a friend of mine in the game also and told me to check the LS message from time to time. The majority of my time is in my JP HNM LS still and everyone in DrgnAsh acknowledge that it is my primary shell. However, they always welcome me with open arms when I do come in there to say hello. DrgnAsh is a social shell with players of all levels but they also do HNM runs when the time is right. This is the shell Lorelaiy was talking about I think. I still consider myself as a guest to the shell because I don't spend all my time in there, but the fact that they treat me the same as their regulars makes it nice.

As for fun stuff, I admit that I have gotten too involved with FFXI and losing the idea that it is just a game. It is supposed to be fun. I agree that many times, it feels like a chore or an actual job, but that is just the way I am when it comes to games. I strive for perfection in addition to having fun. You're right, all I need is a break. So don't be so sad and don't act like I'm quitting, because I'll always be around.


To gungus: Thanks! I've been dreaming about this car for a while now. It's not a BMW (which I also like), but I've always liked the Z-line from Nissan.

Yeah, WoW is definitely more player friendly and all you really need is just 2-3 people to do stuff with. A lot of the things are soloable (unlike FFXI). Like I said, it is a fun change and I'm going to buy it.

I hate you (just kidding). I want to play Half-Life 2 SOOO bad. My roommate has a kickass computer and I watched him play it. It's sooo good.

Aww Faluzure I hope you don't go , you really gave me an idea on what I should be ready for as an Elvaan Black Mage (Still has the PM's saved from last time ). If you DO go just hold on you'll eventually will have time to play again you're the coolest Elvaan Mage ever! D;. As for you Car take it Teal or Cobalt . My favorite Colors! :D I'll PM you for more BLM info if you don't mind

Ah, okay. I was thinking it was probably DrgnAsh, but I wasn't sure, since he didn't mention it. And actually, it'd probably be the same for me as it is for you; Force Council is my 'main' LS, and I also spend time in Ronin from time to time. I'm glad to know it's such a nice LS. And I'd love to get more Promathia stuff done. ^^ Since my NIN is 30 now, I'm a bit more confident in my usefulness in Promyvion, not to mention I got an anima. Hopefully I can get those done soon; I can't wait to see Tavnazia! I'm also finally gonna get 5-1 done this Sunday with Force Council, as long as everything goes according to plan. ^^ I'm gonna try and level until then, and if I hit 50 before then, farm for a Corsair's Knife. Currently I'm only 104 exp away from 48.

Fun? I don't think I have gotten to that part of the game yet. I haven't really logged on to FFXI in about a week (which is like a record for me). There are so much better things to do it seems... I got Halo 2, so a lot of my time goes into that game (playing online of course). Also FFXI seems more like a job to me now. It really isn't that much fun. Plus, I am regretting picking a Hume Female, I hate their animations, actually I just plain hate the way they look. But I am sure everyone hates their character at one stage, but I've been in this stage ever since I started leveling Samurai (at level 43 now). I don't know if I am gong to quit, I'm just going to take a good break right now, might log on once or twice a week, but other then that, I am done for now. I need to pick up my grades and school, and actually !!! Leave my computer room !!!

Anyway, keep the thread alive, I like hearing what you have to say. Almost as much (or more) then I like seeing your screenshots.

Hey Fal, that blue car, isn't that a Nissan 350Z?? If that's the car you want, man, that's like HOT!!! Now the 325i, is that the wagon 325 (btw, 325 is a BMW for anyone that's wondering ). My friend was contemplating on which one he wanted to get last year. It was either going to be the Lexus IS300 or the 350Z. Unfortunately, he went with the IS300 instead of the 350Z ; ;. My actual dream car is the Nissan R-34 Skyline.

To Rico: Ah Rico! I thought you vanished, as I haven't heard from you in a while. Don't worry friend, I won't go. As I said before, you guys will know first when I decide to quit permanently. I'm still trying hard to get items I need for BLM (there are 0 snow rings on sale for the past month!) Feel free to ask me any BLM questions, I'll be honored to answer.

To Kyrial: I really don't like having more than one linkshell though. It is something that has always bugged me. I just feel guilty by having more than one. I rarely spend time in DrgnAsh, usually just a hello and chit chat when my JP friends are sleeping. GL on the missions.

To Vilurum: Yeah it gets pretty boring. Don't worry, I'm sure you're feeling the same thing I am. I have a surefire way to make money, but I don't farm as much as I should. Plus my plan requires a few more people.

Yesterday after maintenance, I hunted HNMs with my LS but to my surprise, Ascension decides to counter us on Adamantoise. Silverblood told me specifically that they wouldn't hunt Adamantoise (the HNM held by my LS) until they tried for Fafnir. So I'm kind of upset because of that but I shouldn't be surprised. My LS has always given out abjurations & items to people that want it, all you have to do is request it (we gave Scypio his Adamantoise Egg for the Black Belt & we constantly give out the other abjurations to people), but I guess they don't care. Silverblood, who normally sends me a tell when he sees me didn't say shit last night. I don't know if he was ashamed or what. Shit happens though, huh?


To Marvul: Don't sweat it. If you're not having fun, you do need a break. Find other things to do (which you have), set your priorities straight (school, grades). When you get those fixed, reanalyze your situation in FFXI. If you still feel it isn't worth your time, then you know it is time to quit. I've taken a small break for over a week now. I actually fired up Warcraft 3 and played a bit of that (surprise surprise). It was a nice change.

To JP_Ikari: Yeah, that's the 350Z. I drove by the dealership last night and they had it! I slammed on my breaks, put my car into reverse and backed up into the lot (haha). I checked it out and I cried when I saw it. It was everything I wanted but then I looked at the gearbox and it was an automatic. (((T_T))) If I'm going to get a car like that, it sure as hell is not going to be an automatic transmission. The 325i my friend got wasn't the wagon. Just a 2-door sedan and it's still sexy (I hate wagons). I also hate hatchbacks (which the 350Z is), but I let that slide because it's so hot. IS300? Booooo! The Skyline is hot too, but man that car is old!

You know, I love the Z very much and sometimes I get upset because the USA has so many rules & regulations. You know damn well we would have the Skyline here if it weren't for emissions restrictions, etc. Furthermore, Nismo Japan is releasing a re-vamped Z. There is a Nismo 350Z in the US, but it is nothing like the one in Japan. Here's a picture of it and it is SOOO much more sexier.



As for the pictures, I'm grabbing them from my home computer as I write this. I still have to tweak them (remove duplicates, censor names, etc.) but I'll hopefully get them soon.

How did u actually get into a JP linkshell? I know lots of Lv 75 people who still can't get in, and they are really good players they don't suck or anything. I don't know about your server but a lot of the JP linkshells won't think twice about inviting an american to my knowledge.

... I hate drama. I'd just as soon keep it from sullying this thread. Sounds like you and Silverblood need to have a chat, though. If you ask me, an HNM isn't worth risking a friendship.

As I just mentioned, I'm free a lot of the time (though not tonight, helping with promyvion), because I'm sitting around bored a lot of the time. And everyone loves money. I know what you mean. I feel the same way, especially since I spend most of my time on Force Council (now changed to Keitaro). Part of that is because there's always at least a few people on Keitaro, whereas I only know a few people in Ronin and quite often they aren't on (or are at times when I'm doing something with Keitaro). But it's at least a way to stay in touch with my friends in Ronin. Still, to have a third LS.... I just don't see it working out. That's why I'm gonna wait awhile before I ask Lore about getting in.

Fal, I know this is you thread and I dont want to turn this into a flame war, but if you mention our LS (Ascension) in even a slighty negative way again, the flame war will begin. This is not the 1st time you have trashed our LS in this thread, but this will be the last time.
