nice for a first try. Get rid of the red gradient on top. It's too distracting. The font needs to be better as well (put a stroke around it. Preferably gray so it will stand out, but not to a point where it conflicts the FFXI logo on the bottom).

EDIT: use something like Dark11 or use any defaul, simple style (be sure u set it to something like sharp or crisp).
