I am getting the same error, so more than likely they're still doing registration server maintenance and we can't register our cards. =\

We'll have to try again later today or tomorrow and see if it's any different.


SE needs to just get with the times and accept PayPal. T_T;

Merf... I know my info ain't wrong. I'm even reading it off the bill...

EDIT: It's a debt, Commerce Bank card.... I don't think they would have a block on Play Online... And I don't have a credit card... Meh, it's hopeless.

What kind of card are you trying to use and is it credit or debit? It might be easier if you call SE and give them the error and ask them what the problem is.

I remember after I had my account stolen, I tried to register my debit mastercard and they gave me some BS that they couldn't register it. I called Playonline and they told me that there might be a hold on the account from the credit card company (My credit union) since it was a debit card. And also that I should call the CC company to see if there is a hold against Playonline on there. I told them my CC company wouldn't do something that stupid saying it was the same card I had registered when my account was stolen, but they were so sure that it was my debit so I hung up and used my Credit Card instead and it worked.

Well, I feel your pain.

My card got denied for whatever reason and SE asked me to provide them with a "valid" one to continue playing.

The debit card is completely fine. Meh. If I had to guess why it was denied I would say it's because I had closed down my bank account for a while but opened it again a couple months ago while I was not playing FFXI.

Anyway, I get the exact same errors as you in the same order. So maybe it is the registration servers.

Woe is me...

It still won't work... I keep getting the same errors... This is so depressing... I shoulda never got my hopes up.

I get the following error twice:

"UCS-60257
The server is busy or you have entered incorrect information."

before getting:

"UCS-5111
You cannot register this card as your current payment method. Please register a different card or contact your card company."

Same here, and then I went looking for something about the length of the maintenance. I didn't find anything. It figures, I end up off work sick and this happens...

Just found the info. another hour (plus any additional time they end up with) for maintenance...

There was an offer to immigrate people from Odin to other servers for free. We tend to get overloaded on players ever since the World Transfer Service and ability to pick a server in character creation became available.

Most new people, for whatever reason, pick Odin because they think they'll find swarms of people in any zone.

Our starter zones are just as empty as any other.

ATM the servers are down for maintenence, they are shifting people on the Odin servers to other servers so I believe the Registration Server will be down as well until they are finished.

Yeah, I heard there was the December updates... Also, when I first register, do I have to pay 2 dollars for my first charrie?

It is 12.95 a month (First character included) and 1.00 for each additional character after the first one.

They always do Registration Server maintenance the last few days/first few days of each month.

Your account is $12.95 a month, which includes one character. Each additional character on that account is $1 a month.
