If you do get DSL service, avoid Verizon at all costs. Their speeds are horrible (I'm supposedly on 768k but my downstream is max 25k/sec?????), and you disconnect constantly during storms or if your copper lines are underground.. Their customer service is also a joke. Their solution to my recurring disconnect problems was to downgrade our service to ISDN speed without reducing the cost.
