US Cd-key on a EU version?

Well I'm trying to play Final Fantasy again but the thing is my account has remained inactive for quite sometime (a year) so I'm assuming it's deleted since many people I've known seemed to have had this problem.

I've been looking around the net to buy the registration-keys only (since most places seems to be unable to reach my area -.-") but all I've found were US version keys. So would buying a US key allow me to register a new account? Or would I also need a US game version as well?

if you don't have the cd's to install from, then having a reg key won't help you one bit.

but if you still have your old cds, then any region reg key would work. HOWEVER, once you that region key, you are locked into that region. All expansions you purchase now, and in the future, must be of the same region.

btw, if you remember your old account login, try it first. you might be pleasantly surprised.

I don't really remember my Playonline ID, except for the first few letters, I'll try calling them and see if I can manage to get it hopefully.
