  • European/American Version compatibility

I am an Italian guy. Since it has been announced I've waited FFXI like no game before... So, I bought the american version as soon as I could. I played about 1 1/2 years and then was obliged to stop playing. Now I wanna try to come back in Vana but I have some questions. 1)Since I have only The rise of Zilart exp, I have to buy the others too, but It's a big deal to buy them from U.S sites, 'cause I think I will spend about 110$. Is it possible to play the account I already have (made with the U.S. Version) on a newly acquired European 2007 Edition, with the possibility to play also the expansions?

Please let me know something if you can answer with a decent rate of reliability.

I'm really sorry for my bad english

Thanks in advance for any answer

no. if you use one region's keys, you have to use all the region's keys.

so it's either import the US version of the expansions (or the 2007 collection) and continue on the original account/character or start a new account/character with the EU 2007 collection (and play the other expansions).

    hope that was clear

    Thanks Yyg!

all versions of the game are the same, it's the POL viewers that differ.

As far as subscriptions, all of your content must be from the same region. If you're an early importer, you have to use the region you imported from, not the region you live in, unless you want to start FFXI all over with another account.
