ps2 to pc?

I've been wondering for quite awhile if you could hook up your ps2 to the computer and still play ffxi? o.o; if you can, can someone tell me how to? XDD; it would be a lot more convenient to just play it off the computer with my ps2 running then anything~ thanks

Yes this is possible. You'll need a Playstation 2 VGA Adapter. You can easily search on google to find them.

I was looking at some of the reviews and it said that the adapter only works with certain games. Does it work with ffxi? o.o; i don't want to waste like 50 bucks on something that won't even work.

I don't get it. Why not buy a copy of FFXI for the PC? Or do you mean use your PC's monitor instead of your TV screen?

Maybe his/her computer isn't up to specs so they play it on the PS2? I know with using the TV, if you live with other people, you always run into people that want to use it. So she wants to utilize her moniter perhaps?

Scroll down and read peoples reviews. It seems to work quite well. You can also just use the name of it in a search and find it at other shops I'm sure if your uncomfortable with Lik Sang. I will say I shop with them regularly and they are excellent.

alternatively, u could buy one of those TV capture cards w/ video in, such as ATI's TV Wonder, and hook up ur ps2 to it, provided u have either USB 2.0 port or open pci slot. (USB 1.1 TV capture device really sucks.)

u'd still need to have ur pc up and running while u play, but w/ this it's pretty much the "legal" windower coz the eula obviously doesn't require u to use a standard tv for a monitor when u play on ps2.

note that it's often the case that u need to use the s-video connection or better, otherwise the picture quality is too cheap that u can't prolly stand w/ it, and for that u'd need to buy the cable if u don't have one already.
