used ffxi?

i bought someone's copy of ffxi for the ps2. am i going to run into any problems? can you use a used copy?

Well first off the registration codes better be valid or I hope you didn't pay a lot if they are not. Otherwise there is nothing wrong with a good used copy. I'm sure the previous owner deleted their character and the cc info is gone.

I have no idea what you're tryign to say here GrandMom.

But, pretty much if you're looking to make your own brand new account, the cd-keys can NOT have been used before. If he passed to you his account information, then all you need to do is install, and login. Don't forget to change the account information over to your own, as well as change the credit card information (if it's on there). If you want to play his character, no problem, if you don't , just delete it and start your own. Although, what'd I do is sell everything then transfer the gil over, but that's just me.

You can call them and they can reset user name and password. I had an account on the PS2 and cancelled it. My cousin wanted to play and took my HDD. I was out of town when she tried to activate the account. She called them and told them she had the registration keys but forgot the user name and password. They asked for cc info and she said she had not had that cc in some time and doesn't remember the number. They reset the user name and password for her and she played just fine. Of course, my characters were deleted off of the account also. I guess they don't care as long as they get their $$ every month.

I bought a used copy off a friend and playonline hates me , but i guess its some wierd kind of hardware conflict or whatever cause i cant enter payment info, but that realy dosent apply but just my lousy experiance.

That is a bit disturbing that they went right along with that, not even questioning it's validity? I bet that person probably got fired very quickly for doing that.

Well I'm sure if I still had a character they wouldn't have done it. But I deleted them so she couldn't access them anyways. That was probably her saving grace. I'm sure anyone selling a used copy has deleted their characters also.
