how do u get from bastok to windurst???......im tryin to do the emissary quest and i need to get to windurst and san d'oria.....any help???

Is it possible to take a chocobo the entire way?

Possibly. All the maps connect but it might take too long and your chocobo could run away.

If you want to try to Chocobo all the way you'll need to go:

Bastok > South Gustaberg > North Gustaberg > Konshtat Highlands > Pashow Marshlands > Rolanberry Fields > Sauromogue Champaign > Meripold Mountins > Tahrongi Cannion > East Sarutabaruta > Windurst

Its a long way though, like I say, your chocobo will probably run away.

If your going by chocobo, make a stop in jeuno and switch chocobos :p

If you are using a lv. 20 or higher job you can make it from Bastok to Windurst on 1 Chocobo (The Chocobo will run out on you about 50-100 steps away from Windurst's Gates in Sarutabaruta) if you make a decent - perfect run.

Otherwise job of lv. 15 you won't make it, the best the chocobo does is run out right at the moment of just passing the safe gates to Jeuno if you make a decent - perfect run with it.

EDIT:

If you end up going the wrong way, get lost, or don't utlize the proper shortcuts then chocobo will end up running away 1 - 2 zones before reaching your destination (Depending on how bad you get lost and such).

you could also use the airship if you happened to get your hands on about 5,000,000 or so gil(Port Bastok>Port Jeuno>Port Windurst)
and a reminder you cant get a chocobo from Mhaura(whitch totally stinks).
