about the bst sub....i've seen lvl 40war/5bst tame the kraken in qufim..hehe.........but i still think bst is a bad way to go as a sub...the guy could only tame the kraken for like 2min and it turned on him..MWAHHAA!

and if you try to switch to a bst/rdm ...thats just as bad =o

Originally you can tame any animals up to your main job's level using /bst. so 40main/5bst can easilty tame level 40 monsters.
This had been changed like almost 6 months ago. You can only tame up to your /bst's level now. so 40main/5bst can only tame up to level 5 enemies

Actually Jei, several members of my LS have successfully tamed monsters that are their main's level, and not the subbed bsts level. I might not be remembering correctly, though.

i do the rdm/bst every once in a while... but it tends to get in the way. and its not based on levels its based on your CHR. at lvl 40rdm/9bst i tamed at the same success ratio as a 40whm/1bst

40main/5bst can't tame level 40 monsters now. if success, you'll lost controls in a second

In beta it was possible to tame creatures the level of your main, even if bst was level 1. I have done it a few times as rdm/bst. Maybe they did this just for beta?

I have to say, this is rather amazing.. I think I'm going to have to call you Lord Jei now. I've been reading up on the game for a while now, and the idea of a red amge enticed me.. so I decided to have a RDM/BLM combo... Though I think it's going to be unoriginal, it should work.. I love the idea of the red mage, and I think the AF just looks so AWESOME!!! Have you ever run into Red Sylph? I don't know what server their LS is on.. but I heard about it from another thread.. They seem really kewl, too bad they're all JPN, or else I'd try and join. I wanna be in some kind of all RDM LS.. that would just be awesome.

i think they changed it i saw a 75 rdm/37bst with tamed fliming0 withc is tote to a 69.
