It seems doing a journal might be fun so let me record my all my journey in Vanadiel

Title |...It started!! |

My life started in Vanadiel on Lakshmi server in Bastok as a warrior. Without any knowledege in FFXI, I realized I cant even move Juliette :confused: . I turn around and realized that I'm all alone with nobody to ask to. I felt afraid and actually start to cry a little, there I was running a round non-stop in Port Bastok trying to configure the controls. Sadly, I never know how to capture a screenshot so no pictures to show how confused I was.

1 week has passed and I start to learn many new things. Luckily, FFXonline have a few guides and that helped me to become a proper inhabitants of Vanadiel, no more running non-stop around. The real story started as I reached lvl10. Here I was running around in Bastok Market taking a rest after leveling up outside. This time I got a nice level10 armor on^^



Here going to check the Auction House. I realized that I can cheat by buying cheap in AH and selling it back at higher price :sweat:

There was nothing really interesting happens soloing but watch out for the next one 'Juliette's first Party and encounter with Kimixx'

I have been playing up to 2 weeks now and now I'm stuck at lvl 12. Now I need a party.......the problem is I never any single player that speak english (still have too little knowledge in Japanese). I only can look at other people and wishing I can talk freely.

Then by fate or luck, I met with Kimixx. He is a Japanese player and can talk good english^^. I still remember how I met him.I was fighting a river crab near Dangruff Wadi entrance and I realized that I am going to die, suddenly somebody is curing me and giving me protect. My hero for the day Kimixx

Here he is trying to make a party


So this was my first party and on the way to Valkurm. We have 1 WHM and 4 melees, not a very balanced party but there we are 5 beginners trying to take valkurm

As expected we didnt fare out too well in Valkurm. We were having a hard time killing Hill Lizards. The party dismissed when goblins ambushed us and took down 2 party members. Feeling tired we took our separate way home.

On the way back Kimixx and I tried on some of the monsters in Konschat. Trying to kill a mad sheep.....


Mad sheep is mad now.....gave me sleep


One final swing with my first aqquired WS....Fast Blade


Was really surprised to see a thunder elemental (my first time seeing one). I want to see more!...

Thanks for reading I will submit more soon. I have my computer full of screenshots^^ want to share them all. Anyway, I'm on a 2Ghz P4 Intel, 768MB RAM and a seriously overclocked Ge Force 4 MMX440 (hope it wont burn :sweat. Ok more entries

Title |Soloing is fun....but a mistake will kill |

Soloing is mainly part of my life in low levels. At lvl 13 exp is really bad......I can only kill monster thats below my level and it gives me only 25 exp ><. Its only fun when you get a good drop^^ . Soloing today happen near and inside Dangruff Wadi.

No quadav shall be safe when I'm around. Kill them for the money!....Ok Amethyst Quadav, drop me everything you have

The Amethyst Quadav was helpless it died and dropped a bind spell and some gil. After that I decided to enter Dangruff Wadi, the most confusing place without a map.

Inside Dangruff Wadi and suddenly a Goblin Butcher at my level attacked me....DANGER!....used 2 hour ability, I must survive


Ooo mighty GOD give me strength with all my hit


I win against the Goblin Butcher Yay!!....but it doesnt end there. See the pesky Giant Grub at the goblins back?.....it aggroed while I was fighting and killed me by a stone spell after the goblin fight over. Another day ended dying...

hahahahaha! :spin: i love it! This reminds me so much of the beta-days.. there were no towns.. just.. ghost towns, LOL

Title |Honeymoon Valkurm Beach|

First at this point I was given a pearl for a Japanese linkshell called Filamen. They are all Japanese and they are very nice^^. They try to speak to me in English although I cant understand all but the thought that they tried make me happy. The Linkshell have black color. Aisis have the came character as mine^^. Check what they are speaking of ....


Nevertheless, I finally got into Fallenangels, English speaker LS in Lakshmi. I gave a tell to the leader Xero (a really tall elvaan ). Then the other sack holder Shishien gave me a pearl (blue). Now I have more english speaker friends^^.

Ok thats all about the LS thing. Now on to the Valkurm Honeymoon. Honeymoon in Valkurm beach start when you are around LVL15. Here, Shishien and I got into the same party and heading to valkurm. He is a whm and im a war
Notice that I'm in a new LS ^^


Valkurm is like Hawaii with beaches all around. Here going to the hunting spot. A good spot will avoid unnecessary aggroes


This is a good hunting spot I guess.....already have a few party around


I think Shishien said "I'm ready to run whenever necessary"......lol


and he say "I guess you guys will die first "......we, the melees just shut our mouth


The fight officially begin. I guess we are not too strong so we bullied a rabbit instead


Now we are stronger....this goblin is taking some serious beating. Anyway, I heard that goblin will aggroes if they can smell the person..hope Cologne will not attract more of these


Then the party goes on until its the time for me to go home. On the way back I saw another type of elemental....check out the chocobo^^


Well thats for now....next is |Gusgen hunt in the dark| and about Juliette finally got to LVL20

wow awsome i cant wait for pc version..what did you get on benchmark lucy?? i only got 2600 the graphics are simply great.....alot better then ps2 what program do you use to take screen shots on pc??

Wow, nice journal Juli. It's very interesting seeing what things were like before I joined :spin: And.. my god, I can't belive you got the Geforce to perform that well, it must be burning a hole in your case.

Tom I'm using a program called Clipper. Its free and it can take very good quality picture, just search it on any search engine.

Shoe you dont want to know how I started...it was horrible. I have virtually no one to speak to:dead:. and about my graphic card, I think I overclocked my graphic card near to the edge :sweat: . Anyway it still can do do up to 3500 benchmark so Geforce4 MMx version still can do well with few tweaks.

Ok more story soon and before that let me show a really nice screenshot. I just love this place, blm, rdm and whm is honored

Hey Lucy, you should try doing Scroll Lock to get rid of the HP bar and such before taking a picture ^_^. But it all looks great ^^.
