    battle with the Orcish... "God"

    well that's what my LS called it... ƒI?[ƒN?_
    i'm not surprised why they call it like that. This is by far the most powerful monsters I've ever fought. (Maybe King Behemoth might be stronger but it never appeared on my server yet)
    The fight was really scary and fun. im still excited about it until now.

    Now since the fight involved some interesting strategie, I decided to post it in the journal

    first, we travelled to Davoi. The Orcish God is located at the same place as Hexspinners and Overlords.

      And this is the so called "God" .... the battle with it alone took us almost 3 hours.

      here are some interesting strategie. We assigned a "main tank" task to only 1 party.

      the main tank party members were
      pld pld pld
      bard redmage summoner.
      summoner and bard is a must. this PT strategie is, summoner keeping blink and stoneskin on everyone.
      Each PLD will taunt and keep target until their blink and stoneskin wear off. then the next paladine taunt. when all 3 paladines no longer have blink and stone skin, summoner will reuse it again asap.

      This is the Orc... God.

        the other 2 PT will concentrate on both healing and attacking.

        The Orc itself is a Paladine. Our dark knight level 70 could only do around 10 damage to it. not to mentioned we hardly hit it at all. And here comes the other PT's task.

        Everyone with a sword, is to collect TP from the weaker enemies aroung there. I as redmages, this is the first boss battle that I actually get to attack ^^ pretty cool.

        white mages do nothing special. just keep healing.
        black mages only cast 1 spell, specificly, Flood. It got resisted all the time, but with their 10 minutes ability, the spell can dish out 900+ damage.

        whitemages and black mages are quite risky whenever they got agroo, they need to zone out and rest out side a while.

        here is me and the others attackers charging TP.

          Launching 1 hand sword WS, "Spirit Within"

          1 thing about this WS is, it ignores the enemies defense and do damage purely on the TP we have. at 300% my redmage can do 400-500 damage to the Orc God no problem

            The hardest part of the fight was when it has only 20% HP left (took us 2 hours to get it HP down to that point)

            It started healing itself like crazy with cure4.....

            So, we bring in several other orcs and make them as close to dead as we can, and we leave them there. So the Orc God will sometimes heal those weaker ones instead if itself.

            20% HP of the GOD, was like 45 minutes to take down.

            pic, many many orcs all around now. can't kill them because we need them as a cure-lure

              the end result.... almost every PLD in our alliance died atleast once. (a hume PLD, Yan, died 5 times.) warriors and bards also died a couple times.

              and here are some interesting items it dropped.... phoenix feather? tail? wonder what it is for

                  That was amazing and such good tactics to bring sucha strong monster down , I can imagine playing a game from 6 Pm to 9 Pm just fighting one monster doing the same thing over ang over again ... was there a time in the battle that youjust got bored of pressing the same buttons!

                    Very cool fight and nice screens, gratz on defeating it =)
                    Great idea to lure some other orc's in there too
                    hmm pld dying 5 times = ouch >.<
                    And is it just me or is that dagger really strong looking

                    Btw heard about another though NM "ash dragon" anyone beaten that one yet?

                        A perfect journal....

                        All the PT members were lvl 70? If no someone got xp, how much?

                        Who? What does it matters? Or...do you need a name to describe me? A definition by words is merely a means to deceive oneself. It's meaningless before the truth. What matters is how you perceive things. The slightest shift, then life and death no longer have any meaning.

                            that thing is a sword :D nightmare sword. +12 acuracy in night time. quite interesting.
                            I was a redmage/blackmage. I believe all jobs can use spirit within ^^ bards can, too. (it's only useful at 300% TP charged really)

                            I did't feel bore battling. I was having fun attacking, running back and forth to refresh everyone.
                            And seeing my members dieing so fast before I can even heal was a little depressing hehe.

                              You didn't show any clips of him doing damage...exactly how much was he doing if he could take out Palidans .
