this is going to be a pretty big update.. so buckle in folks.. more adventures of the Mad Galka.. (taruwaru poweraru!) :sweat:

It started normal.. Broot was in the Plateau battling the gigantic Battering Rams (i LOVE this mob btw.. the way his muscles ripple and bulge and the ground shakes as he walks.. it just imposes strength and power! not to mention he's just about the size of a tank is also cool)




When the mighty beast fell.. some friends told Broot they were headed to the island of Quifm to hunt.. so he joined them.. during the hunt.. one peculiar item was acquired.. a brilliant Red Ruby that shined with its own inner light.. the adventurers gasped.. and they hunted for more.. by the nights' end.. they have amassed about 4 of these rubies.. (4 rubies in 4-5 hours work.. am i a good luck charm or what!)

when Broot finally acquired his ruby.. he remembered tales from his youth as a TaruTaru (don't laugh).. and during the time that he got kicked out of the taru mage academy :sweat: he remembered of a legend.. a story..

..Tarutaru's are taught one basic principle.. or concept.. about magic. They learn the schools of magic.. that is the very first lesson a Taru will learn.. the Healing arts.. the Dark Magic.. the Empowering Magic.. and the one that is barely whispered..

the FORBIDDEN magic.. the one which has been long lost in the world

Memories flooded Broot and as he held the shiny ruby in his hand.. he remembered a lesson taught him a while ago.. of the last time someone who had used the forbidden magic during the great war..

so Broot decided to visit the House of The Hero..

..once Broot entered the House of the Hero.. his taru teacher told him that the ruby is very special.. he said: "Close your eyes Broot.. listen to your heart.. what does it say"

Broot did as he was told.. and he heard a voice.. a faint whisper.. it merely said 4 words.. but they were burned into the mind of the taruwaru.. "Broot.. come find me"

So Broot off went.. to gather the 7 colors of the rainbow.. and every single one was ok.. he gathered them fast.. but the last.. the snow.. that.. was the real challenge..

So off did Broot go.. along with trusted friends and a fellow Ruby-bearer to try to capture the last color.. they set off.. to lands unknown.. to trails where no one has gone before.. simply put.. Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

[btw just a note right here.. during this time there was a LOT of confusion.. the GM's official stance is that the Summoner class is not attainable in the beta.. That's a verbatim quote.. this all started with the ruby drop.. why would the ruby drop if the class isn't in the game? Furthermore.. why would the quest activate if it wasn't possible to be attained? That's how this got all started.. you can say it's beta-testing to the finest, lol)

so the adventurers set off... Broot, Shyuse, Moona, Elune, Mouse and Taimoor.. the road they knew would be filled with peril.. and they will be tested beyond their understanding.. but together.. they went to each other for strength.. and trusted each other.. and depended on each other to see this through

Now.. to make the story short.. they fought.. the road was long and tough.. but they managed to persevere.. Once the color was acquired.. Carbuncle himself appeared and said Broot.. come to me and he ran off to LaTheine.. the adventurers set off for LaTheine.. and here.. the presence of a GM was shown

In Carbuncle's Grave.. the circle of stones.. when the quest finished.. the GM's have arrived to watch the show . )

After his victory.. Carbuncle says bye bye!

..now to conclude this lil adventure.. I just want to say I hope everyone gets to see the cutscene movie thingie when you finish the summoner quest.. it gave me goosebumps . ) and the music that plays.. if FF memories doesn't come flooding back to you.. woah! . )

anyhows.. there ends one of the best adventures i've had in the game.. (thoroughly exhausting getting to that final color.. specially since we weren't even 34.. and i heard you needed 38 to get through the pass).. but it was fun indeed . )

i'm so tired of being here.. suppressed by all of my childish fears and if you have to leave--i wish that you would just leave. because your presence still lingers here, and it won't leave me alone.. these wounds won't seem to heal. this pain is just too real. there's just too much that time cannot erase!

well.. this may be the last or at least the last update for a while.. it seems my lil cousin has done what the game could not.. it slowed me down . (

Broot's PS2 has been decomissioned.. until i find the problem and get myself back online . (

it's been fun though.. i was planning diffeent updates.. oh well, the latest would've been when the Beta had their first rank 4's.. that 4 hour delkfutt mission was fun indeed . )

thanks . ) it surprised me how well this journal which i only update when im at work and not playing has taken off.. i get loads of tells in-game and everywhere i go i get a "Woah you're Broot!"

but more importantly.. looking back at it.. up to this point.. it's weird how this journal is much like an unofficial "Beta history" . ) most of the peeps you read/see here are also some of the highest levels in the beta.. to quote a stranger (new friend now), "You guys are always first to do things anyhows!"

actually i might as well thank everyone in here for their nice comments . ) it was fun.. to think that a part-time thing to keep my boredom away at work was read by a lot of people, it makes me smile . )

lol the hardest part in the beginning was just taking screenshots and then somehow making a story out of it

anyhows.. im not totally gone.. just sidelined for a bit.. i borrowed my friends' ps2 and bought a new network adapter.. so one way or the other.. god willing it's not the HD itself that got damaged.. i'll be back soon . ) i hope ; (
