Chocobo Whistle... am I doing something wrong??

So my Choco became an adult last week and I went to get the quest for my whistle. Every day for the past 6 days I've been on a short, a regular, and a long walk and nothing! My choco regards me as it's parent so I thought it would be easy. Every time she is completely absorbed in her activities I seach and find nothing. Does this normally take so long or am I doing something wrong?

Hello Glowey.

I had the same problem when I raised my chocobo and tried to get my whistle.

Needless to say, ffxiclopedia was able to help me understand what I needed to do.

I hope it helps.

Oh, and my GF got hers on her first walk out .... took me a week and a half for some reason .... go figure.

Take your chocobo out for all walks... long, medium, and short walks. The handkerchief will be in one of those. It never changes though, so it's not random. It'll always be in the same one walk. Just try the other walks you haven't done yet.
