Requesting Detailed Explanation of Joining a Guild

I searched the forums for awhile, but I had no luck. The instructions given to join guilds were too vague.

I am in Windurst. I want to join the Clothcraft guild (or whatever the name is). I enter the building where you'd see a bunch of NPCs at work and I talked to the Taru NPC with the apron and glasses who told me a recipe to make a Grass Cloth I think...

For some reason, I am not getting her to repeat the recipe to me...thanks Squaresoft.

So I make a Yagudo Necklace into the grass threads then convert the threads to a Grass Cloth and tried talking and trading the item to said NPC. Nothing.

The other thing I notice is other NPCs recommending other items which are totally out of reach for a long time, especially for a new Lvl 9 Black Mage. I'm not willing to go to the Auction House.

So I'm just asking for the proper procedure, step-by-step.

When you join a guild you can join any guild and get skill points for any of them at any time. The other thing that you might be refering to may be the Guild Points System which you may not get into until I think 40+ in that guild. You can only sign a contract with 1 guild for guild points any any given time.

When you get to level 8 there is a test you have to pass from the guild leader in which they want you to synth a <item> (I think in cloth craft the first test is a cape?) After y ou do that you are then able to proceed past level 10. You may also purchase the <item> from the auction house if you REALLY don't want to craft it yourself.

You can also go online and look for guild recepies, I believe that mysterytour has an entire list and also allakahzam has one too. It's easier to look it up online instead of talking with the people and trying to take down the recepies.
