You can realistically stay at East Ronfaure until 19 or 20 pretty safely. At your level, I'd actually recommend Jugner Forest (river) if you're fishing for Salmon/Trout. The bite rate tends to be a bit better there.

Cool, thanks for the info. I noticed the skillups stop right after hitting 16, and thought that was the reason, although it must have been the infamous issue of getting lots of skillups, followed by none for a long time. I'm willing to live with that as long as I ~get~ the skillups.

Honestly, the bites werent a problem. I'd say the bite ratio was probably 75% of all my casts. Maybe better in Jugner, I'll have to try it. Also, what do you think about fishing yellow globes at my level so I can make a bit of money as well? Will I still skill up from those?

Yellow globes cap at 17 so you'll get some skill but not the mileage you are looking for.

This site is used by a lot of serious fishers. I check it as a reference daily for moon phase and such and to look at options. If you like fishing then its perfect. Well....almost perfect. It will list several rod and bait options, most of which are not ideal. This is how the 'you can catch multiple moat carps with a sabiki rig' rumor started. lol.

Here is a great site dedicated to fishing with tons of searchable info: http://www.lisaarndt.com/phpBB2/index.php

And when you get very serious or want to participate in the 'high-brow' discussions go here: http://www.titanictus.com/

Just some ideas to point you and the orginial poster in the right direction.

      Have fun!
