And it won't lead to price drop >.>; It's not that easy to garden expensive stuffs... I would expect there to be lots of variation, just like gardening elemental ores.

I would like some statistic on this too, if possible

EDIT: usually take 2 earth weeks or so for double crystal gardening, as I was told.

I have no clue where to get cactus stems, besides AH. I think the majority are probably in the same boat. Not being able to get the seed = not being able to make huge money from gardening.

I know you get 4x of them for doing "Wish Upon A Star", a quest in bastok.

1. You can get the seed from Cactuar type monsters, sorta like getting Tree cuttings from Goobbue.

2. One thing I forgot to say in my last reply, is that, this is news to us who don't know, but this really isn't some BIG news that just has been discovered, the game has been in for 3 years now, JP probably have found this recipe long ago, so did many hardcore NA players, just that no one said anything until now. SO, it won't lead to a massive price drop, as long as there are smiths out there that buy it...

Yeah, but nobody in their right mind farms cactuars. 1,000 needles while soloing HURTS.

You can if you are a high lvl SMN. Pets seem to only take 500 HP damage if you stand far enough away, so it's like an automatic half reduction even if you don't get hit.

Then again, there aren't that many cactuars to go around, so why bother?

I didn't say we should all go and camp Cactuars in altepa, I know 1000 needles crap, not lv1, you see? But Gman was saying he doesn't know where to get it, so I was merely answering his question, since he said he has no clue where to get this stem ^^

If you really want to do this gardening, you can always get a tree cutting and sell it off in AH, then use the money on cactus stem... simular price on remora anyway ^^

No price drops? Yeah right.

I'm guessing many others know this version of the recipe, as I've seen my own server's ore prices drop from their usual 100k to an almost unwavering 60k per ore. Where there used to be only 15ish ores on sale at one time, there was at one time over 100. But oh well, that's what happens when people leak out their own secrets.

If anyone is stupid enough to release their own gardening recipes they deserve to lose the money they would have gained if their mouth was kept shut.

Or it could be that Adaman Ore was added as a dropped item off of certain mobs in the update I think the same thing happenned on every server, not as a result of the gardening recipe (which from what I can tell yields adaman almost half as often as saplings yield ores, AND they're worth much less, so IDK, maybe me and 90% of the people on Alla just have bad luck).

As far as the ores go, however, the recipe leak impacted many servers HUGELY. Prices now often sink to 100K on certain ores, 150 for the more expensive, and never get above 190K, whereas before the "leak" they often went for 300/400k each.

It should be in the Others-Misc, where all the seed-types are... You can recognize it by the icon alone, because it looks the same as Tree cutting, or Sapling's bags.. just different color ^^
