Does anyone garden anymore?

I remember a few months back when the elemental ore recipe finally hit the net, gardening was all the rage. Ppl in my LS were making mules for the sole purpose of growing 10 elemental ores at once, over the course of a week (just about a month after the recipe was cross-posted on 5 difference messageboards), ore pice dropped in half or more.

It occured to me recently though that I just never hear about gardening anymore. Did the massive price drop on ores just discourage everyone away from it or what?

Personally, I never got into "power-gardening". Back in the low levels I would just plant all the seeds I got from saplings, maybe get a black rock every once in a while. But now I just can't be bothered. Plants die long before I remember to take care of them. Just curious if anyone else is in the same position.

you can still make some good money gardening it's just tends to be a sorta slow process and can fail. I would guess people still do some gardening on the side maybe to help them make money but I think NMs BCNMs and crafting are the biggest moneymakers in this game

O.o; I knew the recipe for more than a few months...

Anyway, the chance of getting elemental ores is low, and as Rogan said, the process is too slow, it is good for a backup farming method...

And, yes, I still garden, the best way to get some materials for crafting for free lol...

I just started a batch. I noticed Earth Ores got back up to around 200k so i figured I would try my hand at it. Like others have said though, its not my primary income.

I dont power garden either. Mayhap its stupid, but i keep 4 pots on my main char, that way i dont forget to check them. So far it seems to be going well enough. The only problem i have with gardening is that it takes so long, the ore prices may sink so much by the time they are done that it might not have been worth it. Time shall tell. Hopefully the market will stay steady. With our server economy though, who knows.

Havent met any of the other people yet, but its nice to know there are other fans of ASoIF out there!
