  • 40 Crafting Skill Points Distribution??

HEY i was just wondering that how should i split 40 crafting skill points once several crafting skills reach over 60. although iam not even 5 in any of the craft, just wondering how effectively people should distribute 40 crafting skill points once they reach 60 in a craft skill in order to make nice money?

BTW iam going for a smithing type but any would help

(if there is a topic already like this tell me)

there is no set way to distribute the 40 points its all up to you. you can't have someone holding your hand the whole time, just test out which one you like most, since you are going to be smithing then go blacksmithing and goldsmithing, leave the other crafts at 60.

Its really best to put them all into one craft. If you are going to get a second craft over 60... put it on a mule. You ALWAYS want the potential to get you craft to 100 where your profit is the best due to better HQ rates. The vast majority of your profits will be in HQ later. The price difference between good items and HQ ones is huge so even a 10% better chance of HQ can be the difference between losing money and profiting a million in a synth session.

Some good examples of HQ items being worth MUCH more than normal ones:

Sniper ring+1 = ~1.5M profit for crafter (little or no profit for normal rings)
Amemit mantle+1 (sp?) = 750k profit for HQ, 150k loss for normal
Tactician Magician Hooks+2 = 200k+ profit on valefor (HQ upgrade for TM hooks)

Even with foods HQ3 synth of meat mithkabobs profits you about 6k and each HQ synth of pumpkin pie (85 skill) is about... 5k profit. Normal profits from these foods are minimal at best. HQ is totally where its at.

thanks you alot, i was really thinking like have goldsmithing 80 and smithing 80 to make items within those range, But i never wanted to take those risk. :spin:

That is extremely useful information-- an excellent example of how high level crafting can pay off. I have to assume that you are a high level leatherworker ::doesn't go back to look at your sig:: , or at least have done your research? I'm not sure what TMH2 is, I would assume blacksmithing. Anyway... does anyone else have some good examples of high level recipes which could yield high HQ profits in other crafts?

Not that I'm demanding handouts, but that would sure be appreciated ~_^

Scorpion Harness +1 comes to mind...
8M gil profit on HQ, 400-500K loss on regular synth.
                  You know I'm right.
