Taking Up Mining

Hey everyone, i'm thinking of taking up mining, I was just wondering if anyone had some tips on where to start off, i'm a lvl20 Thief/10 warrior. I was just wondering where i should start mining? how much money i need? materials? etc. Thanks everyone

I started taking up mining recently too and it has gotten me lots of gil.

I have

30k worth of mining gear (20k for the vest, 5k for boots, 5k for gloves)

I usually bring 2 stacks of pickaxes with me and that cost around 5k. I only mine in gusgen mines really, i tried all the other spots besides ifrit's cauldron but had no luck with them.
