Scary earth crystal prices

Last night the price for a stack earth crystal was up to 700+ normal price on my server is 300-400. What is people thinking?
But they'll proably go down again soon

this was in sandy, didnt check the other AHs.

Probably just some jackasses that wanted money or to screw around with our economy so they raise the prices for crystals. It would have to be a joint collaboration to raise the prices that much of course. I would investigate a bit.

Um... Earth crystals have been 300 since I started playing in November. XD

My bet is that there was just a supply dip in Earth Crystals.

I know I usually just dump or NPC sell any Earth Crystals I find. I never put them up for auction, because the returns are so low for them, and I've got better things to sell at the AH.

earth crystals are used for Rank points usually as well..

if a large alliance was doing some high rank missions they can wipe out an AH or 2..

I know when we did rank 8-10 in a day we had earth/water crystals up to 1000 gil / 12

Yeah, they're usually around 300 kuno, but I've seen them spike. Just like any other crystals if you get people going on a tradeskill burst. I remember earth and wind were fetching exorbant prices back when they made furniture somewhat useful to have.

Those ones would be too hard to price fix anyways, it seems like every other mob in newb zones drops earth crystals.

Last time our alliance smacked the price of water and earth crystals in bastok up from 200-300 a stack to 700.
