    Looking for some advice here, hoping the master Alchemists can help me out

    I did XPotions from about 68-72. They sell at breakeven or slight profit at AH. The trivial is 77. Reishi Mushrooms are very hard to find now, Ive been growing them but it takes a while.

    I switched to Bloody Boltheads at 72 and Im now at 75.4 Alchemy. Cost = 3300 per 12, vendor sell = 600 per 12, AH sell = 3000 per 12 but they sell slowly and I have a pretty big stock now. I have been getting pretty good skillups though but i have about 30 stacks of them now heh.

    Anyway my next plan is to repair Carbon Fishing Rods (85 trivial) from 76/77-81/82. Cost per broken rod = 10k, Light Crystal = 900-1000, Sale of repaired rod = 11k at AH. Failure will hurt on this one.

    At the low 80s it looks like I have 3 options:

    Comp. Fishing Rods (89 skillcap) = 12k for components, 12k at AH, slow to sell and costly failures.

    Espadons (90 skillcap) = 17k for components, 16-18k at AH, slow to sell and costly failures.

    Urushi (91 skillcap) = 4 Lacquer Treesap (never sold at AH, where does this come from?), what is Urushi under in AH? I cant find what kind of item it is...

    Icarus Wing (93 skillcap) = 6500 cost for components, 9k each at AH or 60k per stack = breakeven/loss.

    90+ looks like all Icarus Wings til 93 then Panacea and Nuggets (ouch).

    Hi,
    Mind telling me what you did from 52 onward? I tried sleeping potion but it takes too long to lvl up even by one skill

      Can do HiPotions at 52ish-56/57. Also did a few Cerment Chunk combines when i farmed pots/golems and saved the chunks for later profit combines (knives, kukris, espadons, etc).

      Then I did venom dust with Ogre Eels when HiPotions got slow. Then eventually venom potions, and eventually venom bolt heads.


      Start buying Reishi Mushrooms now. You will need about 20 stacks of them. Save them on a mule character for later use. You will make a profit from the combine so dont worry about too much of an investment. If you cant get any when you need them it will be a huge pain.


      Pretty much did:

      52-57 Hipotions

      55-61 Glass Fiber (8 flint stones) ~ do this as much as possible to get to as close to 61 as you can

      56-60 Venom Dust ~ mix in some dust with the glass fiber for later use

      60-63 Ice Arrowheads ~ sell slow but make profit/break even, do a few of these to get those extra points in the low 60s

      62-66 Venom Potions ~ Farm mercury in Eldieme from Gazers. Make these to use the venom dust you have and for future use.

      63-68 HiEther ~ Sell at breakeven/profit, they dont stack so once your Jeuno mule is full do more venom potions until they sell.

      68-72 Venom Bolt Heads ~ use the venom potions to make these, try to sell in AH at sandoria but expect to take a loss here, least you farmed the mercury yourself and got a bunch of skillups over the days to get to this point right?

      72-76 Xpotions ~ sell at profit or breakeven at Jeuno AH.

        81->85 repair comp rods, 85->89 make comp rods, 89->93 Icarus Wing, 93->98 Panacea, use with gold leaf for gold nugget. 98->100, do whatever, lol.

          And you make money at what point? :/

          Seems like the only way to make money with crafting is to pound out HQ of low-level combines.

            At about 56 you can HQ wax/black ink. At about 80ish you can HQ flame sword (+1 Version of Fire Sword) And Yoto +1. The Flame sword is slow profit but the profit margin from it is big. . And at 90.1 you can start trying to HQ Cerment Kurki (will take many tries yes, but the regular version sells for production cost on my server) Hawkers Knife +1, Divine Shield, some katanas, stun kurki, stun katana, etc. Most of the regular versions sell for production cost on my server, so if you try enough times you'll have huge profit margines on those items.

                What lvl smithing do I need to make venom bolts with wind + venom potion + animal glue + bronze ignot?

                  Actually, from what I read, if your 10.1 levels above the trivial mark, you get a increase in HQ1 rate, 30.1 levels above, you get another increase to HQ1, and a increase in HQ2, and at 50.1 above trivial you get another increase to HQ1, HQ2, and your first to HQ3. So basically at 54.1 you can HQ black ink as well as anyone, and at 55.1 you can HQ beeswax as well as anyone. But I always go the full skillpoint (11, 31 or 51 above trivial before trying very much, for safety sake) I'm 93 alchemy, and I didn't know this for a long time and wondered why people low in alchemy could HQ as well as me with wax and such.

                  At 56, you can HQ about 1.5-2.0x the amount you would without HQ. I also always do wax on lightsday or darksday and I do ink on darksday.

                    I disagree from what you read hatey ... I've seen ppl make 4 beewax per synth for about 95% of the time and the odd time i see them make less than 4. Under that theory I at lvl 69 should be able to match that, but I can't. I make about 1.5-2 per synth.

                      Well, I'm 93 alchemy and I get no more than most people. Please note that I have gotten many 4x and 3x wax in a row at times myself, when there is a very luck phase I'm having, but I've also seen others do this and asked their skill level and was suprised to hear "60" or somewhere near 60. It's very rare though, I've had it happen maybe 3 times total through out my career. First Quarter Moon and right as the new moon starts seems to work best (higher likelyhood of this happening)

                        Feels like you need smithing ~14
                        (14 smithing is bronze bolt heads)

                        I tried it with no smithing which just produced a ton of popped crystals.

                          After venom bolt heads, I did repair broken composite rods till 85. Then I started making composite rods. I have very little time to work on skill right now, so I am stuck at 85.5 for awhile.

                          Anyways, my plan is to make composite rods till 89 then icarus wing to 93. I'll worry about 93-100 when I actually hit 93.

                          As for HQ, on beeswax, on firesday. Avg I get 3 stacks of beeswax from 14 combines (3stacks of beehive chips + 6).

                            When you're repairing the composite rods, can you lose those on failures? There was something mentioned in patch notes about

                            "Some items that had a zero probability of being
                            destroyed were also affected. However, the "Broken Lu Shang's Fishing Rod" and others were not changed."

                            so I wasn't sure if that was referring to other rods, or other items.

                              Yes, you can lose broken composite rods if you fail the syn. I lost maybe 3-5 of them out of 4 levels of alchemy. Which is really not too bad after pl'd through 69-81 with 600k+.
