Has anyone confirmed the rumor of only 40 points usable over 60? I'm 80 in smithing, and want 60 in wood, which I want to take to 80 to repair lu shang's.. I'm looking for first hand information here, not "a friend of a friend said it's true" etc.

It's true, but I cannot prove it yet...
My cooking is 60.8, I'll make it to 61.
When my alchemy hit 99.1, the cooking should decrease to 60.9...
I'll confirm you later!

cool, thanks for the reply. rather unfortunate how that works out. I can understand it for certain, but the whole lu shang/woodworking thing is a tad disappointing after having smithing so high. among others, 55 leather, 58 wood, 40 goldsmithing and so on.

The way JP player do is "making another character to have high skill in another guild"
That's how Square-Enix get 100Yen/0.99$ per extra character!
