look around for quests that give you a reward for items you can get from lvling (flint stones, Wild onions)
Also, collect Gob masks and quadav backplates (backplates drop of amethists only) and sell in the AH for quick cast.

-.-;; I was hopng for a tradeskill. It's just that I find Crafting more productive for everyone. I'm not all into farming at low levels. No fun. Chances of Death..No point.

Quests however are long/tedious when it comes to repeating them. ( as for bastok Quests)

with 2.5k, you will not get very far with a craft. You are far better off with farming crystals or those repeatable quests.

The only craft you might be able to make a small profit on is goldsmithing, but unless you farm for all the stuff, you will bleed that 2.5k out your nose (and farming for those copper and zinc ores will take an equally long time).

        Thanks Yyg!

There is no way you can get a craft to give you steady income without spending at least 200k... Being optimistic here. 99% of the time you will sell your items for less than the supplies while leveling up crafting. The profit comes from hidden recipes (not much profit in these since sites expose them now) and HQ items...

I have ~55 alchemy and I can choose whether I want to spend my time on HQ and makes ~20k overnight or level it up higher and lose money...

So... what I'm trying to say is skip the craft

without farming your own materials 2.5k is not enough to get you started in any craft not to mention the Bastok crafts that are some of the more expensive ones.

your only other option(and it isnt a great one) is gardening.

            Take your 2.5k

            1) buy 2 brass pots from the back room of the shop behind the AH in Bastok Mines district for 2k

            2) buy 2 water crystals for about 100gil for both

            3) buy 2 vegetable seeds for about 400gil for both i think(walking saplings drop them if not)

            4) In your mog house plant the seeds in the pot on either lighting day or light day as close to full moon as possible.

            5) feed them each a water crystal on waterday.

            6) harvest the plants on light day.

If you aren't unlucky you will get about 24-34 fire crystals that you can sell for 2.4k-3k gil. which you can invest in more pots, seeds and crystals to expand your operation.

Pray that both pots yeild fire crystals, or you will have no other alternative than questing and farming for your money.
