Expensive!

I just got my leatherworking to lvl 7 and it was quite expensive from 4-7 making rabbit mantles. Are all crafts like this? I feel like giving up on crafting altogether, just costs too much. Maybe I should try Alchemy, I hear it's not as tough on the wallet.

On the other hand, I don't feel like spending all my playing time farming for items, is there I any craft where I can just buy on AH and get somewhere? Thx.

I can not stress this more:
ALL CRAFTS ARE EXPENSIVE.

Some, like cooking are less expensive than others, but still require a considerate amount of gil to get anywhere significant. If you're not willing to devote time and gil in a craft, you'd best stick to killing mobs for expensive drops.
