I was surfing around looking at some sites and trying to find the best way to make money by fishing, and i came across a comment about Gold Carp. Do they really exist and how much are they worth? If anyone knows, Please Comment. And if you know the best way to catch them that would be awesome (ie bait, rob, place) THank you.

I dont if skill matters,,.. I just caught one by chance when I was in Wind Woods fishing fof Moat Carps.
If u want to know I was using a Carbon pole with Insect Balls bait.
I havent looked into it but I heard that Golded Carp sell for 300gil. All I know is that Moat Carps sell for 4k on my server.

I've caught a few Gold Carps down in Windurst Walls while fishing for moat carp, they're a pretty high level fish (56 according to the osakana database) Im only level 20 fishing so i dont know if there's a 'best' way to catch them, someone told me to try a shrimp lure in the Cheval River in East Ronfaure. Shrimp Lures go for about 4k apiece on Odin so it's pricey if you lose one (I threw one in and lost it on my first cast @_@). But sell your Gold Carps back to the fishing guild, they go for 675 apiece, usually less at the AH (at least on Odin).whm 59, blm 35, mnk 49, war 27Comment
