A few questiond from a newbie arrowcrafter

Just wanted to know would it be worth it to do some mining so I can make my own ingots and it there anywhere where I can find a list of arrowcrafting recipes and what monsters drop the items I need to craft them?

Ingots have very little to do with arrow crafting, and when they do it's impractical to waste the money levelling black and goldsmithing to smelt the ingots just to make arrowheads.

And along that line, no creature drops the ingredients directly used to create the arrows.

To create any arrow you must have three things:

One piece of arrowood lumber for the shafts, this is practically free (sells for maybe 7 gil at the San guild shop, logs sell for 15-20 everywhere else and can be cut with a wind crystal for one piece of lumber, 2-4 pieces per log are common for skilled woodworkers.

One or two bags of fletchings. Depending on the type of arrow, you may need yagudo, chocobo, or bird fletchings, which all go for about 300-1000 a stack of bags.

One handful of arrowheads, ranging from stone to koban. These are the most expensive ingredients of them all, but they aren't too bad. The most you'll prolly ever spend is 2500 a stack of handfuls for like, demons or whatever. Averages around 1.5k.

All of these ingredients can be bought at the AH for not too much. All of the prices above will get you 12x of each item, and that will, with no failures, create about four stacks (400) arrows for you. Easy.

Most of the arrows involving ingots, like irons and silvers, are a pain to craft and shouldn't be done unless you've seriously got some money to burn. But just buy the fletchings, and arrowheads direct from the AH. DO NOT BUY ARROWOOD LUMBER. It's a rip-off, buy from guild shops or make it yourself.

only problem with trying to buy Arrowwood lumber from the guildshop is that it's often sold out (at least for my server )

Logging is nice, but can take a little while, especially if you're competing with a few other players for logging points. Not to mention the fact that you're burning wind crystals just to turn log into lumber... meh. If you're bored and have tons of wind crystals to burn, log em.
