Refining?

How do i refine mine gravel??

go into the P mines in north gustaberg (forgot name but its at VERY top where it ends in a tip) look around i think its on 3rd floor somewhere, its a giant machine, u put in the gravel there, then go back somewhere a floor or 2 and itlll be there, the item that comes out is mytheral dust and is required for a mission, not sure which tho
