  • Where can I find Saruta Oranges?

I find it odd that cooking Orange Juice requires such a low level of cooking skill, yet I can't find the Oranges anywhere. Does anybody have any idea of what monster drops the Oranges I need, and where I can hunt them?

Just go to the food store in South Sandoria or the little taru near the north exit in Wind Waters. They sell the oranges.

I'm guessing there's no profit in Orange Juice making then.

The Culinarian's guild sells them in Windurst Waters. As far as profit goes, you shouldn't be selling them since they're pretty low level. Instead, I'd use them for yourself if you're a mage since it restores 20 MP (1 MP every 3 seconds) over a 1 minute period. Or you can just be a nice person and give them to the mage in your pt. Not until you can start making apple, melon, or pineapple juice, you won't be able to make much profit.

Alright, well if anyone can tell me the ingredients needed for said juices and where I can find them I'd be most grateful. :spin:

            Apple Juice -- Recruit Level
Water crystal + Faerie Apple x4

            Pineapple Juice -- Initiate Level
Water crystal + Kazham Pineapple x2

            Melon Juice -- Novice Level
Water crystal + Thundermelon + Watermelon

There are more juices but those should keep you busy for the next couple of months of crafting. Also as far as where these items can be found I'm pretty sure the apples and watermelons are sold at the Culinarians guild, the pineapples are probably sold or found somewhere in Kazham, and the thundermelon is the one I'm not sure of.

              Bump.

Just curious if anyone knows if any mobs drop oranges or if they have to be grown in your mog house.

If you can't make any profits, its best to find another means other than buying them. I've seen people selling them in the AH in stacks so there must be some other area to gather them.

Right now orange juice sells for around 200 - 300 gil each at the AH in Jueno. But like you said, I usualy give them to the mages.

There's a Taru in windy waters by the gate exit that sells oranges for about 33-34 gil each, orange juice is what i made all the way up to cooking level 11.

Goto the cooking guild in windy and get image support, i made insect paste all the way from 19 to 29 with minimal failures, plus they shift like anything out of the auction house, after that i think i made dog food delta biscuits which even if you buy all the ingredients you can sell back to a NPC for a small profit, the whole time i went from lv8-lv40 i sat in windhurst and had constant image support, took a little under 2 days to do it.
