Deactivate account?

Hey all,

I wondering how or if I can deactivate my account and characters because I want to take a break.

However I want to come back later and dont want to start over. I did a search and can only find this:

It does mention 'when he deactivates his account' but not 'how to deactivate the account'

Any help would be nice.

Just go to the main FFXI menu in PlayOnline Browser. Select "Content IDs", and you'll find an option to cancel your Content IDs. DO NOT DELETE YOUR CHARACTER.

Once you've canceled your Content IDs, they may be deleted by Square Enix after 3 inactive months.
