Oh, occasionally Askyogin (sp?) will pop up and pretend that he posts here regularly, but not so much. I haven't seen hide nor hair of Ping in...a year? We also have a bajillion mods, most of whom don't visit very often either.

That said, the community is still my favorite by far. We can make it work.

edit: On the subject of endgame discussion here, it is, while not entirely useless, a somewhat doomed venture. BG is where the bulk of endgame discussion about FFXI goes on. Period. There are pockets of endgame talk on other forums, but for sheer bulk of players able to parse/test/explore/explain/whatever endgame stuff, BG is the place. A lot of the people there are pretty damn ridiculous, but there is a lot of solid information to be found as well.

We have some awesome posters here too, don't get me wrong. But it's really just easier to go there for most of your endgame info. (Unfortunately.)

FFXIonline has been semi-abandoned by its administrators, as far as I can tell.

Some of moderators are doing what they can to hold the place together, but I hold no hope of seeing forum addition/reorganization any time soon. In the mean while, live with the sprawl, and mind the stickies...

Maybe if the ratio of moronic posts to intelligent posts was smaller it would be worthwhile.

Alla has a more moronic post and so does ki then bg, don't go in the spam forum or general forums and your safe.

Actually.. from what I can see on BG it's not that bad.

Aye here is a bg break down of forums you need:

Forum News and Rules: If you plan to post read the rules
Advanced: Alot of parse equip posts, also alot of the bigger drama and lulz
Newbie: Basic small questions stupid drama some good info
event strats: best forum on the site for info

Ugh...

BlueGartr, All and KI all annoy me. That's why I'm asking for these threads. I'd prefer to have some intelligent endgame discussion and strategy instead of mindless drama and kids swearing.

if you stick to the event forums you are usually safe from drama and general lulz, the ibtl etc is all banable now.

I suggest you seek out a site called BG forums.

I'd rather slit my wrists than peruse the BG forums. I used to look at BG while bored to death at work for its entertainment value, but even that got old quick.

I think the addition of end-game forums here would be a great idea.
