Hey, i love ineffectual idiots in law, especially where gaming is concerned. All it does it set precident by which to sink people who are smart enough to actually acomplish anti-gaming legislation.

Perhaps. Its not that I expect the issue to just roll over and die, I would just perfer someone more level-headed and less fanatical than Jack. Someone more competent might not be so bad if they were more reasonable as well. Its the constant, "They're attacking me because they hate what I stand for and want all your money," media whoring that I have really grown tired of. How many times now has Jack blamed everything on pornographers and competing lawyers? I'd settle for a judge or three sitting him down and explaining to him that by making himself a public figure he opened himself to the jests, jibes, and criticisms that come with it and are protected by law thanks to Supreme Court backing. Oh well, wishful thinking only goes so far.

We should support Jack Thompson. Why? Because he makes his own side look all the more ridiculous. LMFAO!...

Jack Thompson's arguement can be nullified in one sentence:

"Mister Thompson, what violent video games and/or movies did Hitler play/watch?"

I have to laugh at anyone who claims something is "Corrupting our youth".

Because they've been saying it so long, it was elvis, the beatles, KISS, Metallica, now it's grandtheft auto, True Crime, Snoop Dogg. Not that i'm defending snoop dogg, I hate rap. You get the point though.

20, 30 years from now most of us will probably hate whatever kids are loving. It's a repeating cycle honestly.

Don't forget books and mathematics. Those were the big evils back when they were new.

I found some other stuff on Thompson in the news lately, but it's not worth posting. His letters and press releases as close to public masturbation as you can get in text. It's just disgusting to read.

Well class, a girl answered a math question. You know what that means...
                        WITCH!

Before rap, before video games and television, there were comic books. They were nearly driven out of business because they were thought to be responsible for all their problems. They actually had congressional hearings on comic books at one point.
